Will it ever rain again?
It hasn’t rained where We live for so long. I don’t mean the occasional sprinkle or two, but real rain. Like in this picture.
I haven’t seen a sight like this in, well, I don’t know how long.
What You Learned Today:
- Excessive heat is bad for everybody. Dogs included.
- It’s just not healthy.
- Make sure there’s plenty of clean water around for your pooch.
- Take shorter walks and only in the wee hours of the morning or the cooler hours of the evening.
- And don’t forget our feet! The pads on our paws get hot on the sidewalks and roadways. Pay attention to that!
- Last night I spent some time under the sprinkler to cool off….
We are hoping to finish with the haying by Saturday and then it can rain all it wants to.
OK. I’ll hold off on the wishes for rain — BUT WAIT, y’all live a ways away from Us. It can rain HERE, then rain THERE. OK?? Roooooo, Stuart
We’re in our summer thunderstorm season. Every afternoon…KABOOM! Downpour. Cool evening…HOT n STEAMY in the morning again. Grass n skeeters growning everywhere. It’s the time you make sure empty containers are upside down with a rock on top or they get blown over and filled up and over night you have a new crop of skeeters in there.

What you learned: Empty containers fill up with rain water and become skeeter breeders and skeeters carry diseases to us pooches, like heartworms…so keep em upside down during the summer months.

This year we’ve had more rain than in the last five years…..we’ve been in drought. BUT, it has FINALLY come. Hope you get some good soaking-in rain soon.

Yes. My peeps did indeed paint the floor. And the sky on the walls. He’s quite handy. I think She might have painted inside the lines once He drew them. Kind of like coloring in a coloring book! Hope it rains soon!
