A blinking safety light.
I can’t say this enough. Be safe out there.
And to help with nighttime safety, a blinking light is a great gift! My little blue light, you see here, came from a pet store and is meant for small dogs. But, you can also find safety lights at bike stores. Like for kids and stuff for small dogs or big ‘ole honking red lights for big dogs.
Since I’m black, They have a hard time seeing me at night. Especially when We visit the beach in the off season. Very little to no street lights and things like that. So, when I’m cocking my leg under a bush, They can find me! And, of course, other people in cars can see me, too. Very safe.
In fact, I think I might get Them a light or two. After all, people drive waaaay too fast and might hit Them! (Slow down people….)
So, a blinking safety light gets my vote for Gift Idea #6. And the count down continues….
What You Learned Today:
- Sometimes good dog gifts don’t come from pet stores. Try other places like bike stores, hiking/camping stores, etc.
- Be safe out there.
- Be seen.

this is genius stuart! we go camping a lot and my mama doesn’t like it when she can’t see me…well – duh! when you are campin in the wild and it’s dark that is most of the time! only problem is that i won’t be able to sneak up on those pesky skunks!
Another great idea! We need those on those early morning walks in winter.

You are giving me such good ideas I can’t even stand it!!!! Stuart, you are very lucky to have such a caring mom!!! I need a blinky thing and a first aid kit and a travel bag with all my health and beauty aides in it!!! I wonder if I can find one in a Westie/Scottie pattern.

Of all the gift ideas you have come up with I like this one the best – my Mom walks us in the early evening and like you we are black (I’m mostly brindle, but still hard to see) – and that would be a great idea..
