I'm hiding beside the toilet 'til this thing is over!
Hey friends. Just a quick note to let you know that We’re OK. It’s about 5:30 EST PM and We’re heading for the worst of Irene. Apparently, things will be getting worse from now ’til around 2:00 AM. We’re expecting wind gusts up to 70 MPH. Trees are down, power has been on and off, you know, stuff like that. But all is well. Hope everyone hunkers down, stays safe and waits ’til the sun comes out tomorrow.

I HATE wind! It’s loud, makes the house shake, the windows rattle and the trees fall down!
For Our friends up north, get ready. Get ready for the storm surge, flash flooding and all that other stuff. Woooo Weee….it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

good to know your in your safe spot..but stay close to the peeps…no hiding from them today…sunshine tomorrow…then you can go hide from all the chainsaw noises..those are really bad…you’ll need earplugs…

We’re having a foggy start to the day, too, but it can’t compare to the OBX.
I hid in a large closet without windows. My sister Shelby is braver than I am and does not seem to mind the wind,rain, or thunder and lightning. Stay safe!! Sid- Corkscot Man of La Mancha.
BTW – We’re in it too, we’ve put the truck in a “safe” lot.
