OK. First things first. How do you like my new blog theme?? I think I’m liking it. My jury is still out.
Now. On to today’s thoughts. We’ve had lots of new visitors here lately at The Scottie Chronicles and we’re pleased to welcome them. Several new followers, too. Sweet! Thanks for the visits and the subscriptions!
So, We thought it might be nice to review a few things so that Our new friends can follow the bouncing ball of all things Scottie-liscious.
First, I’m a Scottish Terrier. That means that I AM the Center of the Universe. Yes. You read that correctly.
Next, I refer to my peeps as “They” and to my family as “Us,” “We,” “She,” “He,” etc. I just like capitalizing my personal pronouns.
There are three of Us in Our house. Me, Him and Her. See, I can’t allow another dog to come into Our house because, well, because I said so. (It’s a Center of the Universe kind of thing.)
Scotties talk. Yes. That’s right. We say, “Arroooo Rooo Roo” when we speak. So now you know what that means.
I’m 5 years old. I’m stubborn. I have a weight problem. I love green beans. (Fresh ones, steamed. To eat with my kibble.) I love to travel. Love the beach – hence the header photo, which I need to fix by the way. It’s a bit pixillated looking. Gotta make it perfect.
OK. That’s about it for now. OHHHHH…. I forgot, here’s the schedule for The Scottie Chronicles. Write it down so you’ll remember to check back:
- Wednesdays are Watercolor Wednesdays where I show you some art.
- Fridays are Friday’s Foto Fun where I show you some funny pictures and sometimes feature my friends in some funny photos. (Send me yours to Stuart the Scottie at hotmail dot com.)
- Saturdays are Where in the World? Saturdays where I click my heels together and end up somewhere exotic and I show you the pictures.
- AND….announcing…. Silent Sundays. Yes, folks. I’m going to try to get back to my daily posting schedule. “When,” you might ask, “did you ever post every day, Stuart?” Well, I did that waaaay back when I started blogging back in 2009.

- I changed my blog theme. I was getting kind of bored and ended up in a funk. So, I changed it. Let me know what you think. Please.
- I’ve got some new friends, so I thought I’d give them a big ‘ole Scottie Welcome today.
- MOST IMPORTANTLY: My friend Vanilla Bean honored me with a Versatile Blogger award! Thank you Vanilla Bean. I’m working on the stuff I have to do! THANK YOU!

Hey Stuart! I just love this puppy photo of you with your Scottie ears folder over! Aren’t we Scottie’s the cutest puppies. My ears took forever to pop UP! I had one hanging down and one up for the longest time. My humans were worried about this but I was just trying out the one ear up, one ear down look. I kinda liked it but…..oh well.
Arroooo wooo wooo to you Stuart! By the way, how did you know that I bark like that too? It must be the best bark in the world. The Scottie Bark!

SWTS– I didn’t know YOU HAD A BLOG!! And I’ve only now found out that you’re somebody I CAN’T BARK AT!! Welcome to Blogville.

It’s censorship, I tell ya. I click “publish” and a quick flash of the post along with the made-up word you have to type in comes up and disappears. I’ll try a different browser.
I was able to post on SWTS’s blog. I used Chrome as the browser and my Google account instead of my WordPress account. That’s what I do with blogspot.com blogs like Douglas’ and Daisy’s. I’ve never had a problem. It is annoying to have to type the twisted words, however.
It is definitely a test of strength and tolerance ~ so eat something first so you have high glucose for the endurance.

I still maintain that the header photo has too much beach and not enough Stuart. Whose blog is it anyway, yours or the ocean’s? After all, is a piddling pool of water the center of the universe or is it you?

I love your puppy photo too because I am two years old and my ears never did stand up. At first my peeps were kinda upset but then they decided it makes me always look like a pup ~ plus they think I am perfect anyway! I like your new look here. We look forward to reading your news every single day!

You were one cute puppy! We totally agree on your post. We hate sharing things even though we’re brother and sister. We definitely do the arroo-rooo thing….we like to lay with our back legs straight out behind us….and we contort our bodies into what the peeps think is an uncomfortable position. Love the blog man….love it.
