Urp. Again.

I'm feeling a bit better today....

Yesterday was rough. I did it again. Got into something. Had to eat it. Paid for it later. Why, oh why, do I do that? She had to make me some white rice. With a little chicken broth in it. Warmed it up for me. Aaaahhhh.

When you ever feel puny and urpy in your tummy, ask your peep to fix you some rice. With chicken broth. All warmed up for you.

It’ll make you feel better.

What You Learned Today:

  • Ah me. I ate something I shouldn’t have. Again.
  • Took me two whole days to get over it.
  • This time, I think it was more than kitteh poo. Which I love, by the way.
  • No. I think it was nastier than that.
  • When will I EVER learn?

Bummer – I’m so glad you are feeling better today. That’s crummy feeling icky.
When I urp I always try to get it as close to the runner as possible but still on the nice new cream carpeting. Isn’t that what we are suppose to do? For some reason my Peep gets a little cranky about that. She mumbles something about why I didn’t move 1/4″ of an inch more and hit the mat/runner. Oh well… sometimes I think we aren’t speaking the same language. WOOF

Take it easy there, you still don’t look completely well. Need to teach your dad peep like Sidebite has. Gets that warm nose, drags around behind dad, and quests what happens, here comes the “hey bud come a sit with me in the chair, while I rub your head and mom gets you a cookie” works every time that stinker. Will try the chicken brooth with rice thing, love chicken got to better then the green grass thingy Sidebite taught me when I was a wee pup.

Oh Stuart, my Pippen had a little incident on the bed last night. Poor little thing. Might need to try this rice and broth thing. Sometimes I wish you doggies could talk and tell us what’s wrong.

Hope you are feeling lots better.

  6. Daisy says:

Sometimes you just have to experiment with treats that you find! And getting rice with chicken broth is a bonus.

    Hope you’re feeling better.

  8. Piper Mac T says:

You know Stuart, some of us suspect that you do it to get the chicken and rice diet. I love it myself, and was spoiled this week with leftovers of chicken breast and rice with wild rice…yum yum.

  9. Lee says:

Oh Stuart ~ Why did you want to get sickie before Easter. We are having ham. Lee won a big Honey Baked Ham off the the radio today by knowing history facts. We also have on our menu creamed asparagus, home made yeast rolls, fresh strawberries with whipped cream. Lee has not made up her mind what else yet. Sometimes the facts that Lee stores in her brain come to good use.

  10. Amelia and Marcella says:

Stuart, our mom just recently learned that high fat items can cause real problems for our tummies. Mom’s Wildlife friend told her that lots of salt and fat can even cause Pancreatitis in dogs. Ever since she learned this, she has limited our fat (no more egg yolks) and we have cut our vomiting out by 99%. We aren’t too happy about it because all the good stuff has FAT and SALT, Oh well!~Glad you feel better,
    Amelia and Marcella

Gosh Mr. Stuart, that’s no fun! It’s just SO difficult not to eat those things we know we shouldn’t, though, because sometimes they taste so interesting! One time I eated choklit and barfed seven times all over the rug and the couch! It’s hard even for peoples not to eat unhealthy things (Mom says she has been eating too many Cadbury eggs herself lately). I’m glad your mom has a good recipe to help your tummy and that you are feeling better. We will remember the recipe for next time when we are feeling urpy.

    Luvs,

    Jackie

  12. Jazzi says:

  13. Cheryl S. says:

well, you and I had the same problem at the same time – only I had to make my own darn rice. You are so spoiled. Hope you’re feeling better. xo

  14. Cheryl S. says:

Am I the only two-legged person that writes back to you? LOL….

    • CHERYL!!! ROCK STAR!!!! No, some 2-legged folks drop by and “like” me, which I like very much! AND, some of them even write to me. Have YOU ever considered sheltering a companion animal??? That way, I could tawdle on over to your house and visit. Well, I could do that NOW I guess. Think I’ll do that sometime..

      Arooooo! Stuart

    • Joan says:

Hi Cheryl. I only have two legs and I enjoy Stuart’s blog too.

  15. Oh poor Stewart…..we know how good ‘yukky’ things seems like a good idea to eat – but trust us – stick to just rolling on it – your tummy will appreciate it.

  16. Soooooo very glad to hear and see that you’re on the mend. We’re gonna try that trick for some chicken, rice & other nice stuff, although Gus is banned from chicken as he snaffled an accidentally dropped chicken bone the other day – got Her real worried. Anyway we digress, back to you mate, again glad that you’re not so “urpy” anymore.

  17. Ohhhh Stuart…..we totally know how you feel. We were out a couple of weeks ago and we just ate everything that we felt looked good….twigs, plants, dirt. It doesn’t go over well coming out the other end but hey…we never seem to learn…LOL

  18. Joan says:

Hi Stuart. I’m glad you’re feeling better. I heard that kitty poo tastes like Chocolate to dogs. Now this guy who was telling me this….hmmm….I wonder how he knew.

Speaking of kitties. Our kitty Morgan bit me last week and I had to go to the doc and get antibiotics and a tetanus shot…the doc says kitty bites are very bad. Kitties have very bad germs in their mounths. I am a believer, sore hand and arm to prove it.

Bark at Me! ArroOOOO!
