So, I was perusing my favorite magazines this morning, Modern Scottie Dog and Scottish Terrier and Dog News, when I found — HORRORS — two scotties need homes. NOW.
What better time to rescue a pooch than INDEPENDENCE DAY WEEK?????
If you’re here in the good ‘ole U.S. of A. and can open your home and heart to these dogs, please do. It makes me crazy when I hear dogs need homes. Can you help?
Also, let’s keep in our hearts everybody out in Colorado. Dogs, kitties, ferrets, birds, peeps, and all the others who have lost everything to that nasty fire.
Oh me. What a way to start a week. And I thought our tornadoes were bad. Well, they are, and we’re going to have more, but really, all of this stuff is just too much.
What You Learned Today:
- Dogs need loving homes.
- OH GOOD GRIEF…. the peeps’ neighbor just found a SCOTTIE in the middle of the road. No collar! No nothing!! Gotta go…… gotta snoopervise this lost dog situation….

UPDATE: Ok. Here’s the poop on the pooch. And my peep feels really stupid, but as it turns out, the loose pooch lives in the ‘hood and She didn’t even recognize him. (Can you imagine?) He’s OK now. Well, not really, he’s got Scottie cramp. That’s something for another post….

My Peeps have considered getting me a companion since i get nervous and worry when they go to work. Somebody comes by to take me out and a walk in the middle of the day. Oma and or Opa also stop by when they are not “down South”. Hope “the found one” is ok and not to traumatized.
Wish it would cool down and hope the magic air vents keep working.

So glad you wrote about these two sweet Scotties. This is how Brandy found us! We answered the same kind of ad on craigslist and found Brandy who we just love so much! We were so lucky to rescue him and he really needed peeps like us to love him and give him a good home. I am hoping for these two dogs too. Brandy loves it here in Sunny California!

Yes, the Modern Scottie Dog re-posted this to our Facebook page. Breaks our hearts! A Scottie is the BEST family dog and most loving companion and they are smart and adapt so easily – just look at how happy Ventura Brandy is and how happy he has made his peeps!
