I can’t tell you how hot and humid it is today where I live. I went out this morning for my daily constitutional, played with my Possy next door for just a bit and now I’m settling in for a nice nap. I’ll bet it’s already 90 degrees F. And it’s still morning!
Listen to me when I say “stay inside in the cool when it’s hot outside”.
What You Learned Today:
- I don’t like hot weather. It’s too much work to cool down with all the panting I have to do.
- “The dog days of summer” are here right now in the northern hemisphere, where I live. Ancient folks like the Greeks and Romans thought that Sirius (the “dog star”) caused all the heat and hot weather that made people act crazy.
- There’s nothing like a ceiling fan – a tasteful one, of course – to cool off a dog while he naps. Aaahhh.
- How do I get a star named after me? “The Stuart Star” has a nice ring to it….
