The grooming table. Without the arm. (Oh my!)
Now, my Godmother wouldn’t like this, but here I am on the grooming table and I’m not in the noose, which usually hangs from the arm that’s not installed at the moment. See, it’s really not safe to just hang out on these tables without some kind of safety thing. BUT, I must tell you, that She only took Her hand off me just to take this picture. I promise. It only took a second. I’m never up here without at least one of Her hands on me all the time. So don’t call the animal safety people, OK? Like I say, “don’t try this at home” unless your Peeps are RIGHT THERE. A lad could get hurt falling off of one of these things! (See how close I am to the edge of the table? It makes Her crazy when I get this close to the edge of the table! I like to torment Her sometimes. Just for fun.)
What You Learned Today:
- Grooming time is a wonderful time to bond with your Peeps. I love it.
- It’s a good thing for a thick-coated Scottie, like me, to get brushed every 4 or 5 days.
- I get hand-stripped about once a year or so. It makes me waterproof!
- I get a treat after every brushing! Kind of like a spa day!
At ll years old, I don’t use a grooming arm anymore but mom uses a trunk to groom me and Mitch on and it’s not at high as the table! Be careful way up there, Stuart!
Love ya lots

It amazed Mom that at the Scottie Specialty Show this past Saturday that people were just leaving their Scotties on the grooming table and walking around. We guess there were so many eyes on those gorgeous dogs that if one fell, someone would catch it before it was to late!! It did make Mom a little antsy though because she would never leave one of us unattended on the grooming table.
