My fans know I love to travel. Here I am on the Blue Ridge Parkway. See – I’m on a leash, even though yesterday I told you how much I like to hang out with nothing on in my front yard.
But here I am all leashed up. Minding my own business. Too many people, I think, don’t keep the rights of others in mind. When folks walk along trails and sidewalks, they don’t need to be harassed or even frightened by dogs they don’t know. (It’s hard to believe, but some people don’t like dogs!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT????) And they also don’t need to step in poo. Boy that makes me mad!
So that folks don’t have to walk in poo, my Peeps take these bio-degradable bags along to pick up after me. They’re great! (My Peeps are, too.) And they flush down the toilet to be treated – just like human poo – so it doesn’t go into storm drains. Where I live, near the Chesapeake Watershed, if my poo went down the storm drain, then all that stuff would eventually end up in the Bay.
Not a very pretty subject I’ll grant you, but the environment is too fragile to keep this topic under wraps. The next time you go out for a walk, always remember to PICK UP YOUR POO and use a flushable bag. We recommend Pet Habitats. They’re a small company, so it’s good to help them out. Learn more here.
I have to say that We don’t have a thing to do with this company. In fact, We just got a BIG shipment of bags delivered (that We paid for), so don’t think We’re trying to pull the wool over your eyes….
What You Learned Today:
- Respecting the rights of others is cool. People have the right to walk on clean sidewalks, yards and trails. Stepping in dog poo is not cool.
- I’m close to the ground so I know a thing or two about why you need to keep the environment clean. Trust me on this. (The things I see on my walks….)
- Scotties love to be clean. Some of us don’t even poo in our own yards!
- Flushing a biodegradable dog poo bag is a smart thing to do.
