Frog Dog

Boy, this is comfortable.

For those of you who enjoy Frog Dog pictures, this one’s for you.

I was so busy yesterday, that I forgot to post!  How about that?  Of course I visited my girlfriend, Sniglet, but as you saw in my last post, I’ve become quite the escape artist and I came back home under the fence to help Them.

We finished the pond. Finally.  (Well, sort of.  He’s got to figure out a little leak, but other than that, We’re done.) I helped cut the grass, clean the house, you know, all kinds of things you do on the weekend. My Aunt Jane visited over the weekend.  I haven’t seen her in a while, but she gives the best butt scratches.

What You Learned Today:

  • “Frog dog” poses make the cutest pictures. I don’t know why we love to sit this way, but most Scotties I know like it as much as I do.
  • We Scotties love to help out. We’re great at yard chores, house chores and, of course, territory protecting chores.  In this picture, you can see me keeping a careful watch over my yard Kingdom.

About The Scottie Chronicles

Winston welcomes you to The Scottie Chronicles - a dog blog that began in 2009 as a voice for Stuart, a more than memorable black, brindle and white Scottish Terrier who captured hearts around the world. Stuart passed suddenly in December 2015 from cardiac hemangiosarcoma, a nasty cancer that took him far too early. He would have been 12 years old in March 2018. The Scottie Chronicles is dedicated to Stuart and the joy he shared with everyone who met him or saw him from afar. If you love Scotties, please follow along. Arroooo!

  1. I’m all about the frog dog. My mama knows that it means I am totally relaxed and happy so she loves it, too. She’s got some good pictures of me like a frog. Speaking of frogs, can I make like a frog and come over to swim in the new fishing hole? I love to swim – well, maybe wade, but i am hoping to learn to swim this summer.

    We call it puppy legs

  3. Our peeps just love seeing the bottoms of our feetsies – and frog-dog is the best way to show them off!

We know you are a great snoopervisor- that’s what we do best.

  4. Alpha calls that my ‘bear rug’ imitation. I’m the only one who sleeps that way, though Kendra does the one leg back thing. No wonder you were tired after doing all that work.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella

  5. I (Bailey) love frog doggin’; my sister Darcy no so much. We think you’re one of the best we’ve seen to do it!

    Hey Stuart!
I wish we had a pond! You are so lucky. Will you go swimmin in it?
We do have a ‘visible fence, and I wear a special collar to stay away from it. But it’s broken, so I been just mosyin over next door to visit my brother Riley, and his sisters, Lily and Greta.
I’ve also got great news…Mom went to let me in the other night, and I had a special surprise for her and she screamed and wouldn’t let me in! It was a really big dead squirrel. I wanted to bring it in, but they wouldn’t let me. I tried 3 different doors, but no luck. I finally had to drop it so I could come in and go to sleep. Seeya….

    • Way to go Toby!!!!!!!! Good for you! I hope you got a GOOD “good boy treat” after that gift for your peep! And I know you’re smart for trying 3 doors, too! Can’t wait to meet you sometime. Roo Roo, Stuart

Stuart, Westie’s like to lie like that also. Our Westie Molly did the same thing; as well as our Cairn terrier. It must be a terrier thing! Do you think?

    Thanks for the update!

  8. We can’t wait to see your new pond, Stuart!
We can see the bottom of your feetsies, ya know!

    Love ya lots
    Maggie and Mitch

  9. Louise says:
