I Know You’re In There

Here little chippy, chippy, chippy!

Those of you who know me know I love to find the little chipmunks who live in this rock wall. I know they’re in there. I can smell ’em. They think they can elude me, alas, they cannot.

Here little chippy, chippy, chippy…..

What You Learned Today:

  • Chipmunks are no match for Scotties on the prowl.
  • Neither are squirrels, mice, rats, moles, weasels and other yard varmints (previously known as “estate vermin” where I came from).
  • Scotties are tenacious when it comes to finding varmints.
  • Got varmints? Get a Scottie.

About The Scottie Chronicles

Winston welcomes you to The Scottie Chronicles - a blog that began in 2009 as a voice for Stuart, a more than memorable black, brindle and white Scottish Terrier who captured hearts around the world. Stuart passed suddenly in December 2015 from cardiac hemangiosarcoma, a nasty cancer that took him far too early. If you love Scotties, please follow along. Arroooo!

  1. Hey Stuart, your terrier girlfriend down the street (ME!) bagged a squirrel a couple of days ago. It made me quite proud of myself. But I think it made my mom sad. She still loves though.

  2. scottishdogs says:

    Hi there Stuart

You are a great varmint catcher and cute too.

    Hector

  3. Bonnie says:

I’m wondering why the rocks are still stacked up? I’d have expected you would have re-arranged them by now, getting closer to the little rascals. I am always up-rooting the rock border and the lava rocks to uncover ‘izzards’ in the borders.

    Happy hunting!

    Bonnie

  4. Kendra, Daisy and Bella says:

Good luck Stuart. Looks like there are lots of hidy holes in those rocks for Chipmunks and other wee creatures. But we know you won’t give up.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella

  5. Piper MacT says:

Are roosters vermin? Cause there is one in my skin grandma’s garden that I would dearly love to come to grips with…Mom and Dad won’t let me though.

    • Huuummmm…… I’ll have to say that I, too, would probably love to rid the world of Rooster Vermin. But, I fear it wouldn’t be a good thing to do. So, why not just terrier-ize it for a while???? Roo Roo, Stuart

  6. You’d think they would just want to come out and gaze at your handsome self.

Go ahead...Bark Out Loud! ArroOOOO!
