Since We’re celebrating my “Gotcha Day” this week, I thought I’d share this little picture of a little me. They got me at ten weeks old. Here I am trying to hide behind a flower pot. What was I thinking?
Look: you can even see my white toes! And check out my white beard. Good grief was I cute or what? And look at my little floppy ears! It took a while, but they stood up eventually. One before the other.
What You Learned Today:
- Scottie ears perk up naturally, but they often need some help like trimming the ear hair to lessen the load.
- I’ve been groomed since I was about maybe nine weeks old. I think.
- Puppies. There’s nothing cuter. Especially Scottie puppies. If I do say so myself.
Just adorable!

Happy belated GOTCHA Day! I’m sooooo glad they gotcha! And I’m soooo glad you are my scottie friend. I had one floppy ear…didn’t stand up for the longest time. It’s fine now. I didn’t get groomed for a looooong time. SHE was looking and looking for a groomer to do handstripping, but we never found one. Finally she took me in and I’ve been clippered ever since, in various cuts, Westie and Snoozer seems to be all my groomer can do. Most of the time I get a snoozer cut cuz they really don’t think I’m a scottie. I see them wink at each other when SHE comes to pick up the ‘wheaten scottie’ …like, yeah lady, whatever. I think yer white beardie looks like you’ve snagged some tasty vanilla ice cream!
Happy GOTCHA WEEK!

LOL! My little beard does look like a dribble doesn’t it? Thanks for the good wishes, Roooooooooo, Stuart
Gorgeous Boy! I had a floppy ear, too. After seeing the Rocky Creek Scotties, I think wheatens’ ears must come up sooner.
Love the little white toe.

You were an adorable puppy, Stewart!
Love ya lots,

Are your ears down? Wow you were so little. Pippi’s ears were already up (10 weeks) when we got her.
Remember, the folks who took care of me before Them, didn’t really take care of me all that much. I didn’t know how to play. They didn’t trim the hair on my ears or anywhere else or put me anywhere near humans until my Godmother intervened. Sort of. That’s when I met Them. (Thank goodness!) Anyway, it took a while, but my ears perked up. Roo Roo! Stuart
