A Dirty Little Nose

I put my nose in something.

Wet noses tend to pick up stuff. Dirt, grass, and, in this case, a little piece of a leaf or something.

We can’t help it; stuff would stick to your nose, too, if it were wet like mine.

I was such a cute wee lad in this picture, wasn’t I?? Double click on the photo and get a good look!

What You Learned Today:

  • Doggie noses are nice and moist and cold.
  • But don’t be alarmed if they’re kind of warm. That happens when we sleep. (It worries Her so when my nose is warm. I keep telling Her, “Don’t worry, I’m just taking a little nap and that’s what happens when I sleep.”
  • Generally speaking, though, our noses should be cold and wet. Nice and healthy.

About The Scottie Chronicles

Winston welcomes you to The Scottie Chronicles - a blog that began in 2009 as a voice for Stuart, a more than memorable black, brindle and white Scottish Terrier who captured hearts around the world. Stuart passed suddenly in December 2015 from cardiac hemangiosarcoma, a nasty cancer that took him far too early. If you love Scotties, please follow along. Arroooo!

We get dirty noses too, its natural, the world is a curious place, and sniffs sometimes rub off on our noses.

We double clicked. That’s some serious dirt. But a dirty nose, or bits of stuff stuck to your nose goes with the territory of being a scottie.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella

PeeS: We bet your humans never got any work done while you were a little fellow. They must have just looked at you all the time.

I’m always tapping Mollie’s nose – poor Mollie. Cold and wet makes me happy but if it’s dry and warm, I can literally feel my stomach drop. Glad I’m not the only one.

Go ahead...Bark Out Loud! ArroOOOO!
