This is one of those doors that opens whenever I say so. Kind of. We were there this morning and it just opened. Cool.
I especially like to do my shopping at places where I feel welcome. She does, too. I wish all places had signs like these, don’t you? I mean, if I’m all lasso-ed up, what harm can I do?
Some of these things might be kind of cute, but not for those on my gift list. There’s all kinds of little coats and hats and things here.
And there’re even things like turtles, fish, birds, hamsters, gerbils and CATS, too! Wonder if any of my friends would like a hamster? Right now, I’m thinking about the rocks and stuff that go in those aquarium things. (Glad They don’t keep me in an aquarium.)
Now why do they put things up so high? Where I can’t reach them? Who can make gift choices when you can’t REACH THEM????
So We strolled and strolled around the store this morning and made a couple of selections for my friends. Then went to a big ‘ole box DIY store where I felt like royalty. Folks like to stare at me and say nice things. Must be the holiday time of year…..
Now I’m pooped. Really pooped. I’m so pooped that I have to tell you about my trip to the Holiday Barn tomorrow. That’s where I picked up my gift basket this morning. Talk about some nice people. You’ll just have to come back and read about that tomorrow. Or maybe Friday. I’m really tired.
What You Learned Today:
- I love to shop.
- I love to meet nice people.
- I love it when stores make it easy for me to visit.
- Whew. I love to nap after a long, hard morning.
- Remember to say Happy Hanukkah after sundown today, OK?
Don’t worry about the treats that are out of reach. Here, most everyone has “real dogs” who can reach them. You have to use you small size advantage. I’ve learned to put my front leg in the small space that’s between the very bottom shelf and the floor in the food section and then scrape out what’s there. Ummmmmm, yummmmmmy. “real dogs” can’t do that. It’s in my blood-digging for dinner.
I should have known to count on your experience. Why didn’t I think of that????
Aaaroooo, Stuart
The place dad takes me shopping has a big dish filled with treats at the entrance along with a water bowl, and another one at the checkout, they are really petfriendly. I only get to go there about once a month or so though when he picks up new kibble for me after my agility class.
How do you like your agility class? Huumm……
Arroooo! Stuart
Agility is great fun, keeps dad fit too as he has to run the same course with me, of course he doesn’t have to do the hurdles etc.
What a fun day!! We never get to shop – at least not all of us at once – who could stand that many arrrooo’s.
We like your snow falling in the background – we had a bit of it here today.
Snow…..ahhhhh! Now. About those arroooooos. You KNOW I could stand a million Arroooos from you guys!
Arrooooo! Stuart (the lone aroo)
Snow, we don’t get that here. I thought He needed a new monitor or computer. That’s OK-I can’t go into the computer store-they have a sandwich shop in the middle and no pets in the store. No pets??? – I hope they go broke.
Hey, it’s snowing all over your blog!
That treat counter looks great! We’re not even allowed in a store.
XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella
Button and I really like the sprinkling of snow. Hope to see some of the white stuff here tomorrow. Button enjoys it unless it’s way over her head, which hasn’t happened the past few years.
YAh, it just doesnt seem fair to put those yummies way high!! How do they expect you to get em?? BOL
Good job shopping!!

Kyla is right!! Use your small-ness to your advantage…us little dogs get the treats brought to us so that we don’t have to work so hard!! AND that way we won’t get into any trouble cause they give us what we want. We once were in North Carolina and you could even bring your dog into the clothing stores. Hoke doesn’t get to go into too many stores either but loves to ride in the car to them.
