OK. So most of you know that my weight is something of an issue. For my vet. But, really, I think I’m just a lot of muscle and bone. As my friends say, “Scotties are like cinderblocks with heads.”
That said, a little treat every now and again isn’t so bad.
Sooooo……Gift Idea #5 is: homemade doggie treats. There. I said it. TREATS!!! The kind you make that make the house smell good. Well, maybe dog treats don’t make the house smell good at all. I wouldn’t know. She hasn’t made me any. Maybe that’s why I think these gifts are a good idea. I want Her to make me some.
This website has lots and lots of ideas and recipes to use. So visit it and get cooking! (With any luck, I’ll get some as a present myself and let you know what I think.)
Gift Idea #6
OK. This may not seem like such a great gift idea, but trust me, you’ll thank me for it one day. If you’re a pooch owner, give your dog a good ‘ole teeth cleaning to close out the year. If you’re not a dog owner, but would like to give a gift to someone who is, how about some doggie toothpaste and a nice doggie toothbrush?? Sound weird? Think again. Lots and lots of problems arise when teeth aren’t cleaned and tartar builds up and infections set in. You get the picture.
Gotta go now. With my Abigail over the rainbow bridge, I need to take care of my Sniglet and my Auntie. They need me to give them a little smile and a big ‘ole Scottie Arooo Roo right about now.
What You Learned Today:
- There are all kinds of dog gifts out there just waiting for some creativity in the giving department.
- Have fun with your gift giving!
Do you like getting your teeth brushed? Pippi only lets me do it.
I really don’t mind it. He does it for me with chicken flavored teeth goo.
Now, my toenails? No way is anybody except the vet going to touch those!

Green beans can get boring after awhile. We’ve been told we’re walking furry stomachs. I think that’s an exaggeration.
Don’t know that we want a toothbrush and paste for Christmas.
XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella
Aw come on! Clean teeth are fun! LOL.

We (Kenzie the westie included) get squirted about five times a week with something-it doesn’t taste great but it’s not unbearable for our teefers. Going though the vet cleaning is painful for us and for Him in the old wallet. I’ve had it once, but Kenzie (six months younger) did it twice and has four teefers extracted-no fun. Brushing is better than extractions and vet cleaning with those darn injections that make you feel no pain while you undergo the procedure-but that sure wears off after you do it. -OUCH, although I’m a terrier, I’m also a Scottish Princess and prefer no pain, but in a pinch-I’ll give anybody some.
I think We might use the same squirt stuff. Mint flavored or salmon??
I’m not much for injections either. Yeeoow!
Roo Roo, Stuart
They get it from the vet. I don’t know what salmon is but it tastes like the mint They have growing outside. They don’t grow this mint in the ground but in a raised pot because They don’t like the way Kenzie “flavors” it.
