Beaver Droppings

Off on a birthday walk at Three Lakes Park.

Yesterday started off in a bad way. I didn’t get to see my Sniglet like I usually do in the a.m. Why, I thought, were They punishing me this way? All this talk about it being my birthday and all, and They didn’t even take me over to see her.  What did I ever do to deserve such treatment? I ask you!

As it turned out, Aunty wasn’t home and I really don’t like my visits without Sniglet’s peep being there, too.

But, all wasn’t lost because They took me to Three Lakes Park. Woo Hoo! Not one, but TWO peeps went on Our little trip.

Let me show you around. Then, we’ll get to the beaver droppings.

There's an aquarium in here.

There was a goose swimming around.

Or was it a duck?

Goose or duck, I wanted to eat him.

Come on over here quacker!

We saw lots of gnawed off trees. Like this.

We think these are beaver droppings. Do you?

We were there for a couple of hours. Just walking around. Watching those honking quackers that I chased around on this little peninsula. Fun!

Do you think those were beaver droppings We saw?

What You Learned Today:

  • Sometimes it’s nice to take a ride in the car to go for a walk.
  • I walked a lot faster yesterday than I usually do.
  • Different stuff to see and sniff.
  • Ah me. Can’t wait for Our next outing.
  • Thanks for the birthday wishes yesterday!

  1. What a fun day!! You’re so lucky to get to go chase those ducks/geese – whatever they are. Did you get cake too?

What a GREAT day….even if you couldn’t share it with the lovely Sniglet. We’d love to chase that bird, too.

Yep, we think a beaver dropped those.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella

  3. Piper MacT says:

Dad (who is a born and bred Canuck) says those were definitely the work of beavers. He also says you don’t want to mess with either the honker or Castor Canadensis, as they will put you in the hurt locker. Swans can be pretty tough too as I found out a couple of years ago…

Hey Stuart!!! I have missed so much! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!! You are 5 and fabulous!!! And don’t worry about your ribs…they are in there and who needs them to stick out anyway! She feels for mine every once in a while too…When I was a pup, I had a pot belly and they thought it was cute…how come it’s not cute now:) We have beavers here too…and we see the trees cut down all the time…I have to sniff them to make sure they did a good job!! Enjoy your day, sorry I missed it.

Go ahead...Bark Out Loud! ArroOOOO!
