I Think I Killed It

There. The weed whacker is history.

See that thing off to the side of me? It’s called a weed whacker. I think. It whacks weeds. Whatever that means.

I hate it. I hate blowers, too. And brooms. And vacuum cleaners. And carpet sweepers.

I think I killed it. That whacky thing. Barking, carrying on and biting at it.

What You Learned Today:

  • Things that make noise make me crazy.
  • Loud things I hate.
  • Noisy trucks pulling trailers filled with yard equipment.
  • Tracker trailors.
  • Skateboards and scooters. All make me crazy.
  • I guess it’s a Scottie thing.

About The Scottie Chronicles

Winston welcomes you to The Scottie Chronicles - a blog that began in 2009 as a voice for Stuart, a more than memorable black, brindle and white Scottish Terrier who captured hearts around the world. Stuart passed suddenly in December 2015 from cardiac hemangiosarcoma, a nasty cancer that took him far too early. If you love Scotties, please follow along. Arroooo!

  1. Duncan says:

Good for you! Us Scotties have to rid the world of those noisy things. I successfully scare the UPS truck away almost daily. I don’t know why it keeps coming back. How do you kill the UPS truck? Keep up the good work. – Duncan

    • Kyla says:

We like the UPS guy. Although not a true Scottiemobile, the UPS guy has a Miata also. We all talk about cars. Anyone who cares about my Scottiemobile is A-OK. Kenzie and I do have a thing about the garbage truck. With 3 competing companies, there are a lot of them. So far, we’ve chased them all away and none has stayed to terrorize the neighborhood. We can’t understand why they keep returning and stealing stuff and not just any old stuff-they take the best smelling stuff.

      • A steam thing? That might wig me out!!

Oh… just in case you care Kyla, We had a thunderstorm here last night. And you know I don’t like them either. I did just fine thank you very much. I’d hate to have you think I’m a wussy. Actually, there’s no such thing as a Scottie Wussy is there? Whew. Thought not.

        Arrooooodles, Stuart

        • Kyla says:

I don’t mind thunderstorms. In the summer, we have monsoons. These have wind, a LOT of lightening and thunder and very often no rain with it. Sometimes, you can almost drive without headlights. We’re used to it

  2. Kyla says:

They got a new thing. Supposedly it is a steam cleaner for the stone floors, but that sure looks like smoke to me. Kenzie and I are locked in a room while it smokes away. It doesn’t make too much noise so it isn’t as bad as the old Horrible Hoover.

  3. There was only one thing that our dear Javaman hated – yard tools – blowers, whackers, you got it – he hated them. We have a whole list of things we hate!!

    XOXO
    Lilly, Piper, Carrleigh and Ruairi

  4. edgar says:

jeez! me too, stuart – that darn vacuum cleaner and the broom too…but the worst are those little whipper snappers on skateboards and scooters and bicycles – i can’t stand them!

  5. Peggy says:

Button has a problem with things with wheels like go-karts, bicycles, wagons and especially the wheelbarrow. She bites the front tire all the way out to the brush pile. Makes for slow going but laughing too.

  6. Peggy says:

    Ditto for Button. 😉

  7. Daisy says:

We are with you on the skateboard and scooter thing. All the kids seem to ride them to school and after school. We go nuts.

Bella has a thing for wheels and goes after bikes and prams and anything else on wheels.

We ignore those noisy things and move somewhere else, though Bella tries to play chicken with the lawn mower.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella

  8. Mayzie says:

Good job, Stuart! Those things are awfully skeery. I bet the word will spread far and wide that Stuart whacks whackers.

    Wiggles & Wags,
    Mayzie

  9. Jazzi says:

    Good Job Stuart!!
Lets hope that you killed it!! I HATE those things too!! We should all kill those things at our houses!!

    wags
    jazzi and Addy
