Watching TV

It’s kinda drizzly today. I’m not complaining. As a Scottie, I’m kind of used to grey, drizzly, dreich days. It’s in my breed.

So, I think it’s a good day to watch a little TV.

Let’s see, first there’s “Who’s On My Patio?” (that’s a game show where chipmunks and squirrels vie for the most coveted spot in my backyard; it’s pretty good. Especially when the squirrels fall out of the trees and the chipmunks run really fast into the stone wall).

Then there’s “Tempt the Scottie”, now that’s a really good show and it drives me crazy. See, there’s this cat who jumps the fence and saunters up my back steps. OH GOOD GRIEF. It knows I can’t come out, through the TV screen, and eat it. It makes me nuts!

My favorite, though, is “Scout’s Out Walking.” That’s the one where I get up from the my comfy couch floor and go find one of Them to let me out. Then I run out into the yard and bark like crazy at Scout. He’s a bird dog. He slobbers a lot. And he’s taller than me, so I get the slobbers on my head. Pretty gross.

Glad I’ve got a DVR-Tivo-thingey. I just breeze through the commercials and watch the good stuff.

What You Learned Today:

What cute descriptions. Button actually watches cartoons and dvd’s with the kids we care for each day. And at each potty break she gets it’s out the door barking full throttle whether there’s a bird, squirrel of people in sight. She’s so brave.

  2. We love TV – and some of the commercials make us crazy – you should try watching them instead of fast forwarding. We even know when the music starts which ones have animals.

And then there’s the show – “What’s Going On In Our Pen”. We love to lie on top of our crates and watch that one too.

    Have fun!!

Oh I know, I know it’s SQUIRRELVILLE, that is my fav it is on a lot of channels and it is on everday!!! Sweet William The Scot

My main channel is Kismet-the parrot. When she does anything, I’m on the case. She loves the cardboard surrounding 12 packs of soda-she shreds them. Often I’ll be walking around with cardboard pieces that dropped on my body. They don’t drink that much soda-They have friends who save their cardboard for Kismet.

Our favorite show is “Two Tiny Dogs”. It comes on every morning at 9 AM sharp. It stars a mini doxie and some sort of white fuzzy dog; and their humans. Each morning they stop right across the street from our house and we EXPLODE with enthusiasm at our gate. Sometimes Gizmo sits backward in a chair by the window so he doesn’t miss it!!

  6. Georgie says: got lots to watch…all those critters’ are gone from our place…they just gave up and left. we have our own “reality show”..when Thomas the cat is sleeping, we play ‘ pounce and chase…scares the Bee’ Geebers’ out of him. ( I think he likes it )
glad you are having a good dreary’ day..

  7. BARBARA SMITH says:

I always told my Samantha when she was on squirrel patrol “you catchum and I’ll cookum” We never did have squirrel soup.

  8. Fergus says:

A smelly cat once came right up to my back door. My peeps were so slow at opening the sliding screen door I barged right at it and knocked it out of its tracks and on to the ground outside.

Also, sneaky magpies are always steeling the little tidbits I leave in my dinner bowl for later.
Which means I have to guard it.
Once There were two young birds fighting over my bone, I went to chase them (usually they would fly off) this time they didn’t and I bowled right into the squawking idiots… None of use knew what to do…

Oh, I just found your blog and I love it! I have 2 Scotties (more like they have me!) Pippen and Jacque! They love to look out into the back yard just like you are looking out the door in the picture! Pippen has a white patch on her chest like you too!

Looking forward to reading about your adventures!!

Oh, I just LUVS the “Patio” show. It’s one of my favorites! I also like the “People Walking By Your House” show. It’s kind of an interactive game show. The goal is to bark at them long enough that they get off your street. The louder you bark, the faster your mom says, “That’s enough!” and gives you your prize/treat for being quiet. It’s great!

You got the best TV in all the land. But I gotta ask?! Do you always lay with your feets out like that?! You look so comfy and they say it’s a good thing when a dog can lay like that. My cousin the pitbull lays like that and he looks like a chicken!!! Don’t tell him I said that, he’s still mad that I kicked his butt.

    • It’s funny, Hoke, about my feet. Yes, I do usually throw my frog dog feet out the back. Even after I had my snip, snip job I did that. She was worried that I was in pain. But, as you know, terriers know no pain.

I’m sooooo glad you kicked your cousin’s butt! (It’s a dog thing!)

      Arroooo! Stuart

  13. Abigail says:

What big feet you have, the better to make Frito smells with my dear.

  14. Pippa Posey Peanut Butter Pants says:

Oh Stuart – to me it’s all about your toes – they’re lovely. My favorite show is called “Dastardly squirrels on the back deck” I hate those verminy creatures. By the way…we Cairn Terriers go arrrooooo too!

Go ahead...Bark Out Loud! ArroOOOO!
