It’s Wednesday: Time For Some Art

Now that that ‘ole earthquake is gone – no, there were no after shocks at Our house, or at least We didn’t feel them – it’s time to get back to normal. Here’s some art for Watercolor Wednesday, Our continuing series of Cultural Stuart.

Here I am trotting along the alley. Or along the sidewalk. Don’t remember which. (Maybe my memory was scrambled during yesterday’s shake ’em up??)

You know what? I have some acquaintances – a big ‘ole bushy retriever and a kitty – who live with their peeps just a few miles away from yesterday’s epicenter and they tell me their house looks like somebody robbed it. Dishes and stuff are crashed up on the floor, stuff emptied out of their cabinets, stuff turned over…. WHEW. My little Scottie heart goes out to anybody who finds themselves in the middle of Mother Nature like that.

What You Learned Today:

  • We’re OK from yesterday’s earthquake.
  • No damage here. Just stuff fell off of some shelves and things moved around a bit.
  • Mother Nature is a powerful thing. Really. Just think: the earth moves. Seriously. It moves. Who knew?
  • Thank y’all for thinking of Us yesterday. We appreciate it.
  • Now, let’s hope Mother Nature will be kind and tell Miss Hurricane Irene to stay away. That’s what we’re waiting for next. (And We’re a couple of hours inland, but We’re still bracing for it.)
  • Mother Nature. Don’t mess with her. Really. Don’t even think about it.

About The Scottie Chronicles

Winston welcomes you to The Scottie Chronicles - a blog that began in 2009 as a voice for Stuart, a more than memorable black, brindle and white Scottish Terrier who captured hearts around the world. Stuart passed suddenly in December 2015 from cardiac hemangiosarcoma, a nasty cancer that took him far too early. If you love Scotties, please follow along. Arroooo!

Yo Stuart… did your dog senses kick in so you could freak out a bit so everybody would know the quake was coming????

They say dogs can do that, but maybe because I live in California where we have them all the time I can’t tell. I am useless as a warning system. But, I am a great lap warmer!

  3. That’s an awesome watercolor! We really like that one, Stuart! We’re glad you’re okay but we feel badly for your friend.

    Love ya lots
