Stuart, We have never seen the beach or the ocean. You are such a lucky guy. My peep said with her last Scot, Half Pence, they were going, but a bad time happened and they did not get to go.

Stuart, guess what?! I get to visit the beach for the very first time in January! See, we live right down the street from the ocean, and our city is opening a doggie beach in January!

I can’t wait for your gift ideas! Our scottie pup was born 3 weeks ago and so we get to bring him home in January! I plan on using some of your recommendations as toys and things for him! YAY for puppy supply shopping!
congratulations on the new baby…how excited you must be!!!
Georgie B and the Pack.
Thanks Georgie! We are very excited!
Let the puppy stay with its mother for 12 weeks. It gets socialized and disciplined for bad behavior. The people who bred Kenzie (Westie) insisted he leave on his six weeks birthday-way too soon. We suspect that’s why we always wonder about Kenzie and some of the things he does. There’s a big temptation to get the puppy home as soon as you can-resist it if you can. I stayed with Mom for a while and am, of course, absolutely perfect.
I agree with Kyla, I have had three Scot got one at 8 weeks, one at 9 weeks. The last one at 6 weeks and it was much to early. He had a lot of socialization issues and I ended up taking him to special classes and a pet psychologist. Everybody said 6 weeks was way to early.

PeeS ~ We understand you wanting him in your arms.
Y’all are the best. Helping each other out. I came to live Here when I was 10 weeks old. Maybe that’s why I’m so moody. Wait…I’m moody because my breeders HATED ME. They almost, well, you know. They almost did away with me. Whew. Glad that’s over.
Taylor, We’re working on the puppy toy ideas, though, so stay tuned.
Arooo! Stuart
You will all be very happy to know that we are not bringing our pup home until he is 8 weeks old. That’s why we have to wait til January. We are very excited and want him to be in our arms so soon but we know that there is so much development and knowledge gained from a puppy staying with their mom and littermates until 8-10 weeks.
Beach time AGAIN!!!!!! How exciting. Maybe sometime we’ll get to go to a real beach.

I am sure you have all had nothing but good experiences with your forever home, However Fergie and I come from the same motherdog and fatherdog ,18 months apart, we had a bad motherdog…she actually killed one of my litter-mates so My mum got me at 6 weeks…and we got Fergie at 5 weeks because she was mean to the poor baby. we are both excellent dog’s and have had no problems since we got to our forever home…… why, you may ask does bad mother Mandy still have puppies??? It is because her Mum loves puppies…sad, just sad ,cause obviously mother dog Mandy does not like puppies…
Georgie B..
How sad. Glad you guys are OK!
