Gift Idea #2 In Honor Of

This is BoBo.

Y’all know We don’t do clothes here at my house. But, in this case, the sweater was a necessity. See, my predecessor BoBo, a rescued Scottie, had a mass in his abdomen in his later life. (After he developed melanoma of the gum, which he survived with radical surgery and lived six more years.) They had to shave his belly to find it with an XRAY. It was cold. So, She decided to keep him warm with a nice sweater. A cashmere sweater mind you.  (She has a tendency to go all out for us pooches.)

Anyway, BoBo left this earth right before his 16th birthday. That’s a looooong time. Sixteen good years of giving and getting love.

So, what better way to keep him with Us in spirit than by making a donation to animal cancer research in his name? There are lots of good vet schools with research programs that’ll send out a memorial gift notice if you do that. Virginia Tech is one of them.  Or, you can probably give to your local SPCA in honor of a beloved pet. That’s another good idea.

There you have Gift Idea #2 – A Gift In Honor Of (insert name of your beloved pet here)

That is a very smart sweater on a very handsome BoBo.

He gives to the local no-kill shelter. I’m a rescue. There are some rescue organizations who will not adopt out around now because they don’t want the dog to be a present. The recipient may not be wonderful. That said-TODAY is my “gotcha day”-9 years of terrierizing this place! The rescue people weren’t the best and I needed rescuing from them. I was on a taco and burrito diet and I could have solved any gas shortage single-pawed.
