Those of you who know me, know I love to eat. So, uh, I got into something that wasn’t so good. On a walk. You know how it is.

Urrrrp. Burrrp.

I’m not feeling so hot. Why do I do this to myself??

What You Learned Today:

  • We dogs eat stuff.
  • All kinds of stuff.
  • Cat poo.
  • Chicken bones (YIKES!)
  • Dirt.
  • Sticks.
  • You name it.
  • No wonder I don’t feel so good.

About The Scottie Chronicles

Winston welcomes you to The Scottie Chronicles - a blog that began in 2009 as a voice for Stuart, a more than memorable black, brindle and white Scottish Terrier who captured hearts around the world. Stuart passed suddenly in December 2015 from cardiac hemangiosarcoma, a nasty cancer that took him far too early. If you love Scotties, please follow along. Arroooo!

Raven use to eat rocks!!! Really, that can’t be tasty!!!

  2. Anna Kerkhoff says:

Oh no!! Feel better soon, Stuart. I have been eating all kinds of “yummy” things lately that have been giving me an upset tummy too. I just urrp it up and try and cover it up (moving dirt or my blanket over it with my nose) before someone catches me. The other morning before everyone was awake, I urrped and for the life of me couldn’t get it covered up. My nose just kept squeaking on the hardwood floor. Those hardwood floors don’t move very easy  Anyway, my humans finally woke up with all the squeaking and felt sorry for me since I had an upset tummy….all is better now.
Hope you are back to your frisky Scottie adventures soon!!!

Stuart….buddy….let me tell you….Molly is not feeling well either. We think she may have eaten something from the backyard. It ain’t pretty brother….that girl’s got poo issues…ick! Hope you’re feeling better soon 🙂

  6. Douglas says:

Stuart, I know exactly how you feel! I have no idea what it was that I ate, but I sure felt icky for a few days. I hope you feel better soon! Maybe you should gnaw on some green beans – those always hit the spot!

  7. Kyla says:

Me too. He just came back from the vet with pills for the diarrhea I’ve had since Friday. It worries Them because of my Addison’s disease but when I had it for the first time last month (the first of three times in two months), they ran bloodwork and it was normal. Betcha they didn’t test for parrot poop, which I highly recommend to my fellow canine gourmands, it tastes great and is less filling. And don’t you fall for your peeps’ hypocrisy, what’s the most expensive coffee in the world? Why, it’s derived from the poop of an Asian palm civit and is in the 3 figures per pound. Bring that up when you get scolded for indulging in a little vintage feline poo.

  8. Hope you feel better soon, Stuart. We do it to ourselves because, well, because we are dogs and, well, you know, us terriers – we can’t help it, we thing, oh well, it smells good, it looks ok, let’s eat it. Been there, done that soooooo many times so I feel your pain!

  9. jazzi says:

Oh I totally understand Stuart. I think it happens to all of us sometimes.

  10. Nessa, MacGregor and Kenzie says:

  11. Hoke says:

Aw man…you got into something bad?! I hope you are feeling better my friend. Are you able to bark at me yet…I do miss them very much!! 🙂 See you soon and feel better and remember that your food only should come from your bowl…oh wait, how boring is that!!!

  12. bigdogzola says:

Ahh! The advantages of being a shortie..your human doesn’t notice when you are lickin the ole cat poo or sweeping up and hiding some old chicken bone in your coat for later..by the time us tall girls stoop down to inspect anything our humans are already on to it…hope you are alright..eek!

  15. Alyssa says:

Oh Stuart… Once again, I must say… you are just so darn cute I can’t stand it! Now, on to what’s been eaten in my house by the naughty Mr. Fox, who I love with all my human heart. Mr. Fox has eaten: numerous shoes (I don’t mean chewed, I mean eaten parts of them completely gone); toilet paper; napkins; anything from the trash; nerf darts from the boy’s nerf gun; crayons; pens; pencils; popcicle sticks; socks; any toy we give him – makes your chipper look like it’s had a good day and the collar off of my new friend adopted from the pound – yep, he did it, ate the collar off of another dog. How about that Stuart? From a human perspective, it makes poop picking up very interesting!
Alyssa, Mr. Fox & Scruffy (not Ginger – long story, very sad)

  16. Scottie Mom says:

Well, my goofy Scottie decided to eat an Advil that fell on the floor! Talk about eating icky things! Luckily, it was only one and she did manage to “extricate” it from her tummy after a brief stint in there. But, what’s weird is she won’t eat M&Ms that fall on the floor (which I guess is a blessing really as they can’t have chocolate) she just gets them gooey and makes the color come off onto the light carpeting… but she swallowed an Advil. Goofball. So, all your four-legged friends need to try to be more discriminating as what goes in that little mouths as you really freak us out when you do that.
Glad you are better now Stuart!! You’re a cutie patootie.

Go ahead...Bark Out Loud! ArroOOOO!
