You’ve heard of Christmas in July, right? No? Well, it’s sort of like having a big ‘ole holiday sale on stuff when it’s not really time. Sort of.
Anyway, I thought I’d take an inventory of Our holiday cards so I could do some shopping if We needed more. We’re running low!
Time to shop. A Scottie can never be too early with these things. (Even if it IS August and not July.) I’ll do some snooping for you and let you know what I find. So come back and see me. To see what cards I find.

Our mom sends out Xmas cards which she buys from a charity kiosk that is set up at our local shopping centre each year. She tries to buy cards from the SPCA & CANSA societies in particular. But we suspect that Xmas is far more low key here in SA than it is in comparison to the USA.
OH…good ideas about the SPCA and CANSA cards! And oh yeah….the good ‘ole USA is very commercial around holiday times. Too bad. So most us dog folks like to do good things to help animals instead of buying into the commercial stuff.
Well we try to give something useful like a small calendar like you got last year. Lee also gives to a couple of causes that she feels does good work.

Christmas cards???? One of these days I’m sending out belated birthday cards to friends who were born in May.

Ahhhh…Scotty cards for the holidays. We have quite a varied stash .Yep…ALL scotty . Clan mom has been purchasing, sending and ‘hoarding’ ’em for 30 years.(!) Even have those that are in your picture w/ you. Yes there is a white tree w/ red lights and all scotty ornaments. She is crazy in love with us scotties …you can tell for sure during the holidays.
Our clan mom buys kids clothes of all sizes on sale all year long….some toys too. The Salvation Army knows us from past ‘drop offs’ at Christmas time. It is so much fun for us ‘old farts’.

Momma sends out photo cards that have mine and Cinderella’s pictures on them. She usually dresses us up as elves or something silly. Last year, we had a picture of all three of us and sent that one out!
Elves? Now that sounds like fun!
We made our christmas cards last year. Not sure about this year but when you see scottie cards, you gotta snatch them right then or else your outta luck!!
