Watercolor Wednesday – A Submission – WOW

from DougallI don’t know about you, but this submission from Dougall sends me over the edge. It’s terrier-i-fic!!!!! Don’t you think???? It’s a pretty piece of StuART of his Uncle Fergus.

Dougall and his roommate, Floyd, live in New South Wales. Let’s keep them ALL in our thoughts as 100 – 150 fires burn out of control where they live. As of yesterday, all was well with them, but let’s not let our guard down.

Crossed paws for all in the destructive path of those horrible fires!!!!

What You Learned Today:

  • It’s Watercolor Wednesday here at The Scottie Chronicles where We share Our love of all things Scottie + artful = StuART.
  • Today, We’re sharing a submission from Dougall. Thanks very much Dougall.
  • We love this one.
  • We wish all those in the areas of those dreadful flames safe keeping until the fires are no longer a threat.
  • Go visit Dougall to learn about him, Floyd and his peeps (and those awful fires!).

About The Scottie Chronicles

Winston welcomes you to The Scottie Chronicles - a blog that began in 2009 as a voice for Stuart, a more than memorable black, brindle and white Scottish Terrier who captured hearts around the world. Stuart passed suddenly in December 2015 from cardiac hemangiosarcoma, a nasty cancer that took him far too early. If you love Scotties, please follow along. Arroooo!

Dougall does great work I love the vibrant color with the darkness of the room. Praying for their safety along with all those in the path of the fires.

We enjoyed this picture…agree with Sweet William about the distinct color values that add interest…..and the solitary figure in deep thought.

  3. We love this one too – very StuARTful. We do worry about all the humans, pets and wild animals in the path of those fires ūüė¶

Ah yes, the classic Scottie profile. I like it so much, I use mine as my icon.

  5. That is an awesome photo – kind of reminds us of the burning hear of the bushfires. My Mom is from Australia and knows the bushfires only to well.

  6. Susie and Sidebites says:

  7. The use of shading is awesome! Arroooooooooooooooo! Thank you for once again brightening my day, Stuart – and the added benefit is it makes my best friend in the whole world, Janet, so happy to look at your art that she gets in a good mood, which means more treats for me YUMMY ART YUMMY TREATS ArroOOOOOOOOOO!

Smoke info: my best friend, Janet, has something called Prinzemetals Angina. It means her heart is allergic to the “smell” of smoke and shuts the arteries to the heart if the heart smells smoke. She discovered that by using hand cream or something smelly that she can open the vessels immediately by changing what she smells. It feels like a heart attack when it’s happening. So if anybody in the smoke area is having chest pains, they might try the smelly trick. Arroooooooooooo, it’s all about the nose knows!
