Memorial Day is an American holiday remembering those who have lost their lives in service to Our country as members of Our armed forces.
It may be American, but to me, it’s a worldwide day of thanksgiving.
Thank you. All of you. Men, women, K-nine…all of you.
Without you, I shudder to think of what things would be like. Why, I wouldn’t be here maybe. I wouldn’t be blogging. Because there’d be no computer. And no Internet. No peeps to love me. No green beans. No squirrels. No bunnies. No vermin for me to protect my homestead from. No freedom to just be me.
It’s just too much to think about.
Whew. Thank you my friends. All of you who have bravely gone to protect Us All.

I agree it should be a worldwide memorial day. Have a great Memorial Monday Stuart
With gratitude to all those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we may have freedom, and to you, Stuart, a smart Scot who knows the score, have a great Memorial Day.
We’re grateful for you too Stuart. Happy memorial day!
We are with you Stuart – have a great day.
It is a day to be thankful for all we’ve got…and remember those who have defended it for us.

How is it that I have had two Scotties and have a Scottie themed knitting blog and have missed this one? We lost our dear Gracee last week, but with blogs like this I can still get my Scotty fix.
Memorial Day started as Decoration Day to remember the fallen of the Civil War. It was broadened to include the fallen of World War I and now commemorates all our fallen heroes of all wars.
