Watercolor Wednesday – A New One

closeupwebI hope you like this little ditty. It’s a new one!

What You Learned Today:

  • It’s Wednesday, you know what that means!
  • Time for some StuART!
  • Speaking of StuART…can you believe that I can’t use that for the name of my new eStore and company? (You know the one, the company I have to set up to collect sales tax because you just can’t open up a store without opening up your wallet to collect tax for something.) The state corporation commission where I live says there’re already two companies in my state with the name Stuart in the title. Well, to that I say, those two don’t have anything to do with me so I really don’t give a rat’s ass. Ooops! That wasn’t nice now was it? I shouldn’t use bad language. But I can’t help it. I’m getting crotchedy in my old age. And I’m only seven. Go figure.
  • The naming thing is especially troubling since my pal Kyla, brilliant gal that she is, came up with the name and kindly agreed that I could use it for my store.
  • What do you think? I KNOW! Let’s crowd source and phone a friend, what should I name my new company and the store that goes with it?

About The Scottie Chronicles

Winston welcomes you to The Scottie Chronicles - a blog that began in 2009 as a voice for Stuart, a more than memorable black, brindle and white Scottish Terrier who captured hearts around the world. Stuart passed suddenly in December 2015 from cardiac hemangiosarcoma, a nasty cancer that took him far too early. If you love Scotties, please follow along. Arroooo!

    • That’s a good question my Edgar friend. I just don’t know! But I’m going to find out.

Thanks for weighing in! Uh…maybe weighing in isn’t the best word. Coming from one who eats Fat Dogs dog food.

      AroOOOO! Stuart

  2. Not fair Stuart! Well, I’m sure you can come up with something NOT using Stuart but gosh it OUGHT to have your name cuz it’s YOURS! How about “Stu’s Art” (tee hee….close to using Stuart but not QUITE)!!

    Kitty Hugs, Sammy

  3. Misaki says:

That’s so unfair:-( I like Sammy’s idea above.

  4. Wonderful picture…..Very handsome.

    Have a great day.

    hugs, Bugsy and Knuckles

  5. Mayzie says:

Awww…I luved seeing your happy, smiley, arty face today!

What about…hmmmm…Stu ARTS? Or StuARTsy? Or Stu d’Art? Or Artsy Stu?

    I hope those helped!

    Wiggles & Wags,

  6. Kyla says:

Is there a reason you can’t have the name of the company conform to the bureaucratic dictates and operate to the world as StuART? The official name could be Traut’s in honor of the corporation commission because they have it all backwards.

  7. Kaci says:

I think it is discrimination. Let’s get PETA on the case.

  8. ah Stu…red tape! it’s everywhere! grrreat new pic bru.

  9. Looks like you just came back from a long walk – that is a lot of tongue 🙂

  10. Nikitaland says:

  11. You need an ice cream cone in front of your tongue, Stuart!

    Mitch and Molly

  12. dougalldog says:

Sucks about the name, but I’m sure you’ll come up with something good!

  13. Daisy says:

UNFAIR! We’re sure that the capital A in the middle should make yours distinctive. Well, just don’t collect taxes…

LOVE that picture of you. You just look so happy.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy

  14. Piper MacT says:

    StuArt stuff, perhaps?

  15. Great StuART today – love it. Bit of a blow about the name though. Are all the companies named Stuart selling the same produce? There’s plenty of similarly named companies all over the place, and when we come across those we double check its the right one. Don’t we. I live close by a district called Amber Valley – its a pretty name – I’ve just googled it and up popped oooodles of company names with the word “Amber” in them. Now I’d just look through to find the right one and them give ’em a ring – what could be easier? Good job there’s no naming conventions for us scotties – we’ve got our heads screwed on ‘cos we’re intelligent enough to distinguish which Bobby scottie, or Stuart Scottie or Angus Scottie we want to chat with. I’m jumping off my soap-box now. Hope you get it sorted mate, ‘cos thats a grrreat name!

Go ahead...Bark Out Loud! ArroOOOO!
