Remember I told you the peeps put out an APB on me and Bashful when we broke out of the slammer?
Well. They found us. As you saw in yesterday’s post. Yes, They were pleased we were still in one piece. Both of us. And They were pleased to see us. (Frankly, I think They were more worried about Bashful, since he’s a guest in Our home. And wouldn’t THAT have been a pretty story to tell Bacon? “See, he was here and having fun, then Stuart got him into trouble and then they left and We have no idea where your precious pebble is at the moment. Nice.)
So we got to go for a little car ride. (Now that we’re no longer on the Most Wanted List of Canines and Small Boulders.) Since it’s almost Hall-o-Weenie time, the peeps took us to pick out pumpkins. Fun!
Do you see those doggies in front of the car in this photo? There are three of them. Hanging out in the picnic area of the pumpkin patch. Yeah. Begging for scraps.
They should have stayed where they were, but when we all got out of the car – I was on a leash you’ll be pleased to know – they came after me and the peep yelled, “Quick! Pick up Stuart!! Now!!”
Do you know those dogs bit at my feet in the peeps’ arms?? THEY TRIED TO BITE ME. REALLY!!!!! I’m not kidding.
Bashful was safe though. I protected him from harm. Just like I did when we were on the lam.
Whew. I’ll bet he’ll NEVER come to my house again.
What You Learned Today:
- Bashful and I had a nice outing.
- We were going to pick out pumpkins for the peeps.
- I was attacked by three dogs. Just minding my own business.
- We’ve been there many times, and those two shaggy dogs never bothered me.
- This time there was a third dog.
- I swear. I seem to always be in trouble these days.
- Bashful made it through the trauma with me. We stayed in the car and I protected him.
- I slept right on top of him.
- It’s what I do best.
Love your mop of hair! it’s a pity that the small dogs are mostly the victims from dog attacks. Take care, dear boy!
So nice to hear from you. I hate to admit it, but that experience was kind of scary. yikes.
AroOOO! Stuart
The nerve of that canine trying to nibble at your paws. Given the chance, I’m sure Bashful would have went all casting stones on that pesky dog for trying to get to you.
You are being so good to little Bashful. I’m sure he is having the time of his little rock life there with you. XOXO – Bacon
He did try to pick up a boulder and hoist it at those doggies. Not to worry, though. All is well.
Reblogged this on Pig Love.
Stuart obviously you have irresistible feet………who knew?????!!!
Kitty Hugs, Sammy
The peeps say they smell like Fritos sometimes. So does my friend Sweet William The Scot’s feet. You’re right! Who knew?
mine too! remind me to keep my Frito tootsies away from strange doggies!
edgar
You bet!
Oh that’s scary, you should wear boots, Stuart. Your feet are no cheetos. :o)
Boots. Boots? That might be fun. Cheetos, too. But my feet smell like Fritos.
Good thing you were there to protect Bashful! Woooowooooo!
Yes indeed!
They may have nipped at your feet, but they bit off all of Bashful’s legs.
You make me laugh SO HARD I’m splitting my sides! Eeeeew.
Scary. We know with sheep dogs, if they are frightened of an onry sheep, the man (who is seen as leader of the pack) will pick it up and the dogs come in to attack because they think it’s a free feed. We get more excited if someone picks up their dog and we start jumping at it.
Bet your peeps will be glad when Bashful goes….he’s having an adventurous visit.
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
We’re just two feisty kids giving the peeps a run for their money! And whatever else we can run them for….Bashful rolls though.
Thank GOODNESS you were on a leash, Stuart! See, that’s what life is like for dogs who don’t have a nice home to live in with peeps who love them to pieces! Kind of like you and Bashful on the lam. But that’s all behind you now.
So, did you carve out the pumpkins yet?
Sure is good that you protected Bashful and that your hoomins were there to protect you Stuart but sheesh you and bashful are just magnets for mischief aren’t you? He’s gonna have so many stories to tell when he does head home
That has happened to me before too. I am just glad that my peep was there to pick me up or else!!!

Oh noes Stuart:-( I wonder if Bashful could’ve called on his rock friends for help
That story scares my peep. She is always worried when she sees unleashed dogs because when she was a youngen’ walking Uncle Fergus in the park and unleashed dog tried to attack him. So, she gets really worried when people walk their dogs off leash…
