Downton Scottie

castleStuartSo, ya think I’m at Downton Abbey today?

After the opera singer performed this past Sunday night, I think it’s time Cora stages an exhibition of my StuART. Don’t you?

See, on Sunday nights the peeps watch Downton Abbey on Masterpiece. And the Sunday before last was the season premier here in the big ‘ole US of A. (All you folks across the pond already know what’s happened…but I don’t.)

And I usually curl up next to a peep and snooze while They watch. Ever since last season, though, when the Crawleys visited friends in Scotland, I’ve been keeping one eye open to keep up with the goings on. I mean, it is Scotland after all. And I’m a Scotsman.

Love me a castle! Woot!

But last Sunday’s episode really upset me. CAN YOU BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED TO ANNA??????

If I had been there, I’d have saved her from the violence. I really would have. I’d have torn the guy from limb to limb. Like grabbing a rat and shaking its neck broken. Like we Scotties can do in a quick flash. Don’t anyone doubt that for a minute.

There. That’d do it.

I can’t bear to watch what happens with her. I’m soooooo sad. The peeps are beside Themselves.

What You Learned Today:

  • It’s a sad day at Downton Abbey.
  • Hope Anna will recover somehow.
  • And Bates will make her feel better. Somehow.
  • Hope he doesn’t leave her. You think? Naw. But wait, that was then and this is now.
  • Violence is a terrible thing.
  • Gotta go…I’m off for tea with Grrrrrand Ma Ma…. whilst the servants polish the silver and cook whips up a syllabub.

About The Scottie Chronicles

The Scottie Chronicles began in 2009 as a voice for Stuart, a more than memorable black, brindle and white Scottish Terrier who captured hearts around the world. He passed suddenly in December 2015 from cardiac hemangiosarcoma, a nasty canine cancer that took him far too early. He would have been 10 years old in March 2016. The Scottie Chronicles is dedicated to Stuart and the joy he shared with everyone who met him or saw him from afar. If you love Scotties, please follow along. Arroooo!

Mummy LOVES Downton, and was shocked and upset when it all unfolded. Things do get better eventually though we won’t spoil it for you xxxx

  2. I’m a fan of DA too ( I specially love the treats my staff eats while watching). I cross my paws for Anna and I wish DA will never end (like the treats) :o)

Whoo What, Where? We don’t watch it. I think it’s on a channel we don’t get. Is it better than Animal Planet or my fave FoodTV?

    • Oh. Don’t you have a PBS station nearby? Try that. That’s where it is. There’s a big ‘ole yellow dog on it sometimes, but, since I can’t tell a lie, it’s NOT better than Animal Planet or FOOD TVVVVVVVVVV! Hey, I ate a pound of green beans yesterday.

I did a search on Direct TV and came up with nada thing for any channel I looked at next Monday night’s schedule on KAET, the PBS channel. For next Monday night all it shows in prime time is THREE episodes of Antique Roadshow. I guess they consider the show too unappealing to us cactus farmers. I’m certain it will come out in DVD and I can get it from the library (hopefully minus the pledge drives). All we can get is satellite-no cable here in the country. The mountains block the over-the-air from Phoenix.

My Mom is a Downton Abby fanny too. She was so upset. Where were their dogs? Clearly not doing dare job! Us Scots would never had let dat happen.
Mom was also really upset dat Matthew died. She is not happy wiff the show now but will still keep watching cuz she LOVES Violet Crawley, the Dowager Countess of Grantham. She has all da best lines.
    Wags,
    Ranger

Please don’t give anything away about the show. Mom DVR’s it and watch in a marathon. She doesn’t want to know in advance. Thank you for not spoiling her fun.

Seems we all are fans of Downton Abby! We hated when Matthew died! Why did the actor want off such a popular show?

We haven’t watched it yet but keep hearing good things about it. We don’t have much time for TV these days. Maybe on our next vacation we’ll have to play catch up! Much love, The Scottie Mom.
