I like this oldie. Do you? It’s Watercolor Wednesday!
But it’s also time to do some price comparisons. So I’m participating in Bacon’s and Fozziemom’s “Shopping Around the World” day.
Here are prices where I live:
- Loaf of bread = $2.49
- Gallon of milk = $3.22
- Dozen eggs = $1.79
- Gas per gallon = $3.33
- Movie ticket = $10.00 YIKES!
- At the movies, how much are the concessions? A LOT.
- McDonald’s cheeseburger = around $1.00 or $1.25
- Jar of peanut butter = $4.49 28 oz.
- A can of Fancy Feast cat food = $1.50
- 1 pound of fresh green beans = $1.79 – $2.99 WOWSA!
Hop on over to their blogs and see the prices and leave a comment to tell us YOUR prices. Woot!
If you ask me, I would stay with the green beans. Who needs a movie ticket, we could be our own rock-concert with enough green beans :o)
Your prices are cheaper than ours! I think it doesn’t matter how much green beans are… You *have* to have them!!
oxox
Daisy
some of the prices are the same as ours but some are a lot more 🙂
Just remember-the government says there is NO inflation and that’s official.
All I read was eggie weggies and peanut butter – yum!!
We’d have to change everything to metric….too complicated this early in the morning
Mom shops the edges of the store and doesn’t buy most of what you have. In south Florida this afternoon a gallon of unleaded 87 gas was $3.79.
Our prices are very similar – your gas is way cheaper. This posting was so interesting to see the different prices from all over the world. Thanks for participating Stu! Hopefully we will do another one next month on different items. Have a great one! XOXO – Bacon
