Before you press the play button on today’s installment of Monday at the Movies, be prepared for a shock. Yes. A shock. You’re about to hear a not-so-manly yip from big ‘ole moi.
See, when I KNOW there’s a critter around, and I HAVE to have at it, I yip. And yip. And yip. Kind of like a puppy. So you’ll be surprised to hear it coming from me. But, if you’re a Scottie lover, then you already know we have lots of voices.
What You Learned Today:
- Scotties have lots of voices.
- Some are loud, some are soft.
- Some are fierce, some are …well, some are yips.
- Saturday’s Where in the World was BERMUDA!!! Condogulations! We had lots of good guesses. Thanks for playing along.
- Silent Sunday was fun. I was playing with my Sniglet, who lives next door. And I was telling her all about my Kyla. She’s cool with it. She’s still my friend. Whew.
boy oh boy, Stu! you really wanted that critter, didn’t you? mum reckons that you’d make a good earth dog!
Edgar and his mum
that was the typical terrier ” I get you” voice :o) I love it! what kind of critter was it? an invisible rabbit or a mouse with a magic hood?
I makes some crazee high pitched noises when I’s after sumthin’, too!! You gets it, Stu!!
Your tail quivers just like mine when I am all excited about finding a varmint.
Thanks for being a friend
Sweet William The Scot
Boy you are excited about that critter. So what was it? I bark at the rabbits in my yard and they just look at me and keep right on eating my grass.
Bentley
Something’s been eating my comments. If they were tasty, I would have eaten them already! All of us (the four K’s including Kenzie-RIP) have a high squeal that’s the rabbit call. I don’t think that’s a rabbit you’re after, the high pitched yip is different. Maybe a chipper?
I do believe it is a chipper. The alternative might be a mouse, but I think it’s a chipper. Chip. Chip. Chipppereeee.
I love your Monday Movies!! I haven’t heard from your God Mother so must be the puppies all have good homes.
You haven’t??? I’ll get to the bottom of it. Thanks for letting me know!
I gots all kindsa barks and stuff too, I fink it are a terrier thing.
those critter are so mean always teasing us…you tell it off stuart
Boy, you certainly gave it all you’ve got, Stuart! I watched the video with my peep. Whew! Bet he will never show his face again! Not to worry, you will find some other critter another day. They can’t all get away!
McDuff & Mom
Way to go, Stuart. Too bad you couldn’t get to ‘im. Must have been scared out of his mind with you on the trail.
I (Wally) have that same voice! Mom says it hurts her ears but it’s my “THERE’S A CAT” voice which is very different from my “play with me” or “dada’s home” voice.
Wally & Sammy
oh you obviously have a most excellent and truly versatile vocal range!
Did the critter come out to play? You definitely had them told!!
Stu I just want to cuddle you and say there there …and the little waggy tail all a quiver…well you know how to get to a gal 🙂 hugs and loves Fozziemum xxx
OMP (Oh my pig!) That’s fantastic and look at that cute little tail! I ❤ it! XOXO – Bacon

You sound just like Sidney. he is high pitched too.
Stuart, me boy! My mother could watch this over and over. I don’t know why when I do exactly the same thing! She can tell by my bark whether I want in or out; I have a special moan for going out on the side porch. I think we terriers are awesome.
