If you look closely, you can tell I’m facing South. That would be Southeasternly to be more precise. In the direction of Bermuda, which is only about 650 miles off the coast of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina.
I’m looking in that direction because today marks the first day of Cup Match, an annual 2-day islandwide holiday commemorating the end of slavery. It’s also a time for celebration, food, drink and CRICKET!
I don’t play cricket, I just chase after them and snack on the occasional one or two.
So, whether you’re rooting for St. George’s or Somerset, you’re sure to have a good time at Cup Match.
Me? I’ve got my money on the food tents.
My pals from Cooper’s Island, Bermuda, sent me this pretty picture:
Thanks for staying tuned while I was whooping it up on my little stay-ca with Sniglet, Mama Kitty, Auntie Meredith and the construction crew next door. Good grief they made a lot of noise.
A guy couldn’t get his beauty sleep.
Oh, and thanks to the peeps for helping me make my finishing touches on the Blogtionary over the last week or so.
Stay tuned for that. ArrrOOOOO!
