Not So Fun Friday But Foto Fun Anyway

sweetheart framesI chose these wonderful little Friday’s Foto Fun photos of me today because I’m in the doghouse. And I’m hoping my peeps will see this post and forgive me. Or, at least lighten up a little bit.

See, today is the dreaded 5th of the Month. You know what that means. It means it’s time for my monthly heartworm, whip worm and general anti-parasite pill.

Um. Well, today I’d have nothing to do with it. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Zero. I spit out that darned pill every time She put it in a pill pocket, or stuffed it in some food…no matter what. She even breaks the pill into little pieces because She knows I won’t eat that honkin’ big ‘ole thing at one time.

So, you can imagine all the little pieces of that stinky pill all over the kitchen floor.

It wasn’t a pretty sight. Until the peep said, “Hey. I know he hates everything like peanut butter, cheese and even chicken, but try some cream cheese.”

So off She went to the fridge. Yes. Cream cheese. Unopened. Yes. Turns out I like cream cheese.

Imagine the mess. All over her hands. All over my beard. And all over the floor.

But, peeps, please look at these fun fotos for today. Aren’t they sweet? In those little heart frames? I love you guys! That’s what the hearts are for!

Pretty please forgive me and just give me the cream cheese next time so We can all avoid a not so fun Friday? Um….let’s hope the cream cheese agrees with my digestive track. THAT wouldn’t be pretty. Or fun.

What You Learned Today:

  • I get bored pretty fast.
  • And today I got bored with the way She’s been feeding me my monthly pill.
  • You gotta change things up every now and again!
  • Let’s hear it for cream cheese!!!
  • Until I get bored with that, too.

Oh Stuart they have to bait you every time.
I get my pill on the tenth of the month and I take it like a man.
That being said seems like my tummy likes to send it back up in about an hour.
    Thanks for being a friend

BOL! We take ours with nothin’, cuz we’ve been told it’s a TREAT. Ours isn’t like yours, though. Ours is in a beefy chewable and there really is no actual pill. You made us laugh today, Stuart. We love you!

  3. Stu, today my sympathy goes to your poor peeps. You were a real stinker. Next time let’s see some of that Scottish determination to get the job done like Robert The Bruce, a brave Scott indeed. A certain Standard Poodle I know can be pretty determined too, but will slurp up her pill when it’s crushed and mixed with some very expensive canned food from the vet. Good Luck, Scottie Boy and Peeps.

  4. Max and Berkley are convinced they are “treats.” Not sure how we managed to convince them of this but I’m happy for it.

Poor Stuart. Poor Peeps. I can’t relate since I never met a pill or any type food I don’t like. I’d eat the leg off the table if I was allowed. What I don’t care for are injections. Now there’s something I have experience with since I need allergy injections weekly- my poor Peep, I’m on to her and know all her tricks especially when she starts acting nonchalantly holding the needle behind her. She’s even injected herself accidentally, and another time thought she had the needle in me and it sprayed all over my fur!

Well, she got tired of us both getting stressed out so now she drives me to the vet and the technician gives me my needle. Sigh!

Stu, you can do this ONCE a month! Make the Peeps happy. It’s for your own good!

  8. Tobias, Shadow & Cherry says:

Time for you to “man up” over there – we all take our pills in our food and if we get to the point where we are not up to them in the food – she opens our mouths with one hand and shoves it to the back back of the throat and away it goes! Not the prettiest or the nicest – so we have learned to eat in our food! — Once a month is not all that bad!! Be Brave – Be Wonderful and Be Polite (just eat it Stu boy) Our best – Tobias, Cherry & Shadow

  12. Cream cheese sounds good to me!

Awesome and have a blessed day and thank you for sharing

  15. gentlestitches says:

every pup likes something. Fingers crossed your something is creamed cheese. I have a dog who likes butter and another who loves mild salami. Just gotta find the sweet spot! ❤

  16. Cream cheese is ever so yummy and my Mom hides my pill in it sometimes as a change from hiding it in my raspberry yogurt! We have to put up with these indignities Stuart – wrapping the little “indignities” in cream cheese helps!

    Hugs, Sammy

  17. cream cheese is great! I would like it even with a pill. When I have to take a pill, dad “takes” it first and pretends how tasty it is and that it makes him totally happy ( I’m no idiot, dad!). But it’s against my nature that he has something and me not, so I grab that thingy and eat it before he throws it in his stomach.

  18. PigLove says:

Snorticles. Too funny Stu. I guess I have this to look forward to with Houdini huh? I must remember to tell mom about cream cheese. Thanks for the tip! Happy weekend! XOXO – Bacon

  19. corkscot says:

We love our Hartguard. We get it on the1st of the month. We hate the Confortis and nothing that mom has done has helped. She finally just opens our mouths, pops the pill inside, closes our mouths, massages our throat, and blows into our noses. It sometimes works. Sid tends to still spit it out and she does it again.

  20. Dalton says:

It’s good of you to keep her on her toes, mixing things up every now and then stops her from getting bored or stuck in a rut. She should be thanking you, not grump. I would turn it around and you put her in the dog house!

Go ahead...Bark Out Loud! ArroOOOO!
