Out of Sorts Today

DSCN2509I don’t know about you, but I’ve been out of sorts way too many times these days. I didn’t even eat my breakfast this morning. The peep was so worried, She hand fed me my lunch (of course I let Her).

I didn’t even stay next door to visit my pals Sniglet and her peep earlier. My nose is warm (but I’m napping and noses are warm when you’re sleeping).

Oh me. What could the matter be?

kyla-1

I’m in denial about Kyla. That’s what it is. I just can’t wrap my head around her health. But, as I’ve promised, I’m going snap out of it and be the best boyfriend she could ever have!  With that said, you won’t want to miss Blogville’s Highland Games in Kyla’s honor on October 27th.

Now. I’ve got some planning to do……

About The Scottie Chronicles

Winston welcomes you to The Scottie Chronicles - a dog blog that began in 2009 as a voice for Stuart, a more than memorable black, brindle and white Scottish Terrier who captured hearts around the world. Stuart passed suddenly in December 2015 from cardiac hemangiosarcoma, a nasty cancer that took him far too early. He would have been 11 years old in March 2017. The Scottie Chronicles is dedicated to Stuart and the joy he shared with everyone who met him or saw him from afar. If you love Scotties, please follow along. Arroooo!

Oh Stuart – that’s terrible. I don’t like to hear this. It’s odd that you say this though because my little Scout has been “out of sorts” lately too. Very odd indeed. She is still eating but doesn’t want to play ball, sit on laps, etc. It’s a little concerning. Now you just buck up young man and count your blessings – maybe that’ll help. I hope the two of you will soon sort out the source of your blues…… Hugs

I must say that is a nice doga pose….doggie down? Forward facing snooter? Or….the famous napping Scottie? We like that pose too. Sometimes we do the belly up napping Scottie.
    Arrrooooo to you!

We don’t like to see you out of sorts, but we also can get that way from time to time. Is it a full moon; perhaps the knowledge winter is on its way; or maybe homage to Kyla. Good days and bad days are the ways of life, so you do need some down time to do some reflecting or some rest, but don’t stay there too long. And for Scott’s sake, you must eat! We can’t have Stuart getting all skinny on us.

  7. Dear Stuart, we are sorry to hear you are not quite yourself these days. That can be worrysome for the peeps. sending you some pug hugs

Up and at’em Stuart friend – you should be the example for the rest of us…Be good, be playful and by all means eat every meal – (hand feeding is always a great idea, we like it too) – no more boo hoos – celebrate each day as it comes and go from there – That is our motto over here, –

Stuart, my Peep tells me when I feel like you do. ” You may have one day, and one day only, to feel down in the dumps. Don’t make it a pity party, that’s not good!”

It works for me! We all have our moments. Now, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again!

  13. My dogs are practicing a sword dance using my son’s rubber swords and are going to dance with the intention to cheer you Stuart and your peeps. We are all in this thing called life together. You will smile at our picture and Shane (my son) is helping too. He is looking for a piece of tartan. Hugs from Australia and you don’t have to “cheer up” cos it is sad. See you on 27th. ❤

It’s OK stuart to be a little down and under the weather, we get that way also….but now we gots buck up and have a blast for our sweetie Kyla!

  15. A day under the weather can be exploited to obtain special treats, scratches and some extra care and attention. Then you’ll perk right back up and be ready to go again!

  16. Gwyneth says:

Yup, we all have a down day (or down dog:) once in a while, but with enough green beans, we eventually snap out of it! We just need to get thru whatever is bugging us. Looking forward to the Highland Games…for Kyla!

    Love,
    Gwyn

  17. corkscot says:

Maybe you have seasonal affective disorder.

  21. Oh Stuart please don’t get sick. Hopefully it is just the weather and too many green beans at one time. Keep us updated my friend.
    luv Ya

  22. I’m kinda “off” myself Stuart…..Mom says maybe it’s the weather or my thyroid medication but I’m thinking it’s just a whole lotta stuff…..I’m getting old, I’m a little depressed, I HATE taking my pills, I’m worried about Kyla and hoping everybody enjoys the going-away party…….maybe it’s just that a lot of STUFF is going on right now???? Let’s just get a lot of naps….that might help us – it’s worth a try!

    Hugs, Sammy
