So, I’m doing a little shopping and I thought it might be nice to make a few suggestions for your gift list this year.
Clothes? Nope. Not for me. And I don’t even think I’d give any either. We’re anipals for heaven’s sake. No clothing. That’s what photoshop is for!
Food? Always appropriate. Always, always, always. Pass the green beans, please!
Toys? Maybe. To tell you the truth, I think all of us probably have way more toys than we need. Don’t you think? But let me ponder that for a while. I might change my mind.
Stuff? Yes. Stuff is good. Lots of stuff. In my case, it would be Scottie stuff. Salt and pepper shakers (you know, black for pepper; wheaten for salt or maybe a Westie thrown in there for people who think they’re “white Scotties”), candles (yes, we have several candles in the shape of a Scottie), napkin rings, pins, earrings, door mats, sweaters, staplers (yes, a Scottie stapler does exist and We have one), ornaments…. if you can think it, there’s a piece of Scottie stuff out there. Trust me. Now, these aren’t particularly good gifts for moi, but the peeps like them. Until they start arguing like this: Do we really need more Scottie stuff? Why, yes, we do. I don’t think so, it’s just stuff. But it’s so cute!
Helpful things? Yes. Collars and leashes that glow or light up are helpful. Poop bags in myriad colors are helpful things. Dog beds are helpful. Throws for sofas and chairs are helpful things. A first aid kit for dogs is very, very, very helpful. (More on that later.)
OK. That should get you started! Happy shopping. And don’t forget to donate any gently used towels or blankets to your local animal shelter. They can really use those things.
And, like I always say, for every gift you buy, give something to those in need.
I’m so helpful.
