Thunder Thursday

Oh boy. We had a doozy of a thunder-boomer this morning. I almost shook myself off of my little sofa I was so surprised.

The peep had to come hold me so I’d feel better. WOW.

She didn’t even have time to run for the Thundershirt. So there I was all shaky and quivery without it.

I didn’t even have time to hide beside the toilet!

Oh me. Glad that’s over. WooooWEEeeeeeee!

You know what? I don’t think my Thundershirt fits me anymore. I’m rather portly these days. Sigh.

At the back door in my Thundershirt.

Ahh…to be thin in your clothes.

About The Scottie Chronicles

Winston welcomes you to The Scottie Chronicles - a blog that began in 2009 as a voice for Stuart, a more than memorable black, brindle and white Scottish Terrier who captured hearts around the world. Stuart passed suddenly in December 2015 from cardiac hemangiosarcoma, a nasty cancer that took him far too early. If you love Scotties, please follow along. Arroooo!

I know what you are taking about. The sun was out then the big loud thunderstorm was happening. Glad it did not last very long.

No worries, Stuart! Putting on a few pounds in the winter is fairly common. Summer’s just around the corner for you to get out and get moving! That winter weight will come right off!!

  3. Bella, Roxy & Macdui says:

Your Thunder shirt shrank? That’s sad.

  4. Two French Bulldogs says:

Hope that shirt helped. Thank goodness we don’t get to many or not hose boomers

    Terrier up, Stu.

  6. Bonnie n Kenzie says:

Get a short haircut and it will fit better. I think the tighter they fit, the better they work.
Kenzie is a skeerdy Scottie when it thunders or there are fire works.
She tries to tunnel under HER and foes the shimmy shake thing.

Oh our Dog! It is that time of year isn’t it? Here in Nebraska we get some of the worst ones. Does your shirt work? I (Duffy) am like you and shake. Andy barks at the boomer thingies and Elsa sleeps through them. Should I tell HER to me me a shirt? You tell me.
p.s. – I only hide by the loo when it’s grooming time.

Well…about that fit…Ahhhhhh stuff happens……..we had them here last evening with tornados……Dad had to hold me in his lap so I wouldn’t shake!

Oh Stu you poor thing..get mum to make sure the radio or tv is on a bit louder than normal too and also to rub the tips of your ears…it’s an acupuncture point for pups and can help relax you…and btw..looking good to me 🙂 loves Fozziemum xx

You look very handsome in your thunder shirt. Soon you will be outside snoopervising the peeps in the garden and watching for chippers to chase and that little extra weight will come right off.

Did you ever try to whistle a happy tune when the thunder starts? Try it, it may help.

  12. Thunder? I just sleeps right thru it.

  13. Stuart what a stinker to be caught off guard! The vote here is that you still look dashing in your grey suit!

  15. Glad it is over now… sorry that your thundershirt met the calories… that nasty critters sit in our wardrobe and sew our clothes tighter over night :o(

  16. Aww! Poor Stuart!! I’m glad you made it through okay! Right before those storms rolled through our neck of the woods, Jacques ran outside and started giving the thunder the what for. He ran in circles with his head pointed towards the sky and barked and barked and barked. And barked and barked. He must’ve scared the storms pretty badly because when they hit us, they weren’t as intense, the thunder was almost completely gone, and the tornadoes disappeared.
