Memorial Day

I would say “Happy Memorial Day” but I don’t think it’s nice to associate “happy” with “wars” do you? So let’s be mindful today of the sacrifices made by our true patriots.

Veterans Day

Thank you.

OH….on Saturday I was in Paris!

About The Scottie Chronicles

Winston welcomes you to The Scottie Chronicles - a blog that began in 2009 as a voice for Stuart, a more than memorable black, brindle and white Scottish Terrier who captured hearts around the world. Stuart passed suddenly in December 2015 from cardiac hemangiosarcoma, a nasty cancer that took him far too early. If you love Scotties, please follow along. Arroooo!

  1. I thought the same… happy is for a birthday or for x-mas… Have a good Memorial day while remembering our heroes …

  2. Ding, ding, ding….we have winners! Really missing my Grandpaw today. Sorry his grave is so far away, or Mama and I would visit for a chat.

  3. It does seem odd to say happy – but I guess happiness is what the rest us have after all the sacrifice and duty those that have served and still are serving give us – thanks to their dedicated commitment to our freedom.

Here’s to all the fallen – may they rest easy. For those still serving – thank you for your brave work. AROOOOOO! A terrier salute.

Today we honor all of our military patriots who made the ultimate sacrifice for our liberty. And to those who had K-9 companions, a special salute to you, too.

    With a grateful heart,

We agree. Not the right time to use the word, “happy” but there’s always time to remember those that gave their all to preserve our freedom, isn’t there? Much love, The Scottie Mom.
