Tales From My Vacay

No, there aren’t any pictures, but I did have a nice vacation.

Snigs 2

Who wouldn’t want to spend time with my bestie, Sniglet?

DSCN0185

She lets me sniff her butt whenever I want. Sweet!

So, I don’t have any new pictures from our most recent vacation together, so you’ll just have to trust that I had a good time.

  • We romped around her dining room and messed up all the rugs.
  • We watched our favorite TV shows on the big screen at the front door: The Postman Always Rings Twice, As the Squirrel Turns, and, my new favorite, Fur is the New Black.
  • We sniffed every square inch of her back yard and I think I peed on every blade of grass. But I might have missed one or two.
  • We took a few walkies together, but it was so HOT. (I didn’t get a new belly boo boo, which is a great thing.)
  • I enjoyed lots of tapas treats. Some I don’t get at home. Woooo Hooo!
  • One night – this is funny – I wanted to sleep in the big bed with my Auntie, like I do at home. So, I did like I always do: sat quietly by the side of the bed in the middle of the night while everybody else was fast asleep and started to cry. Of course, Auntie Meredith had to pick me up, put me in her bed and love on me. Get this: she thought I missed my peeps! Can you imagine? When Auntie texted the peeps about it – unbeknownst to moi – the peeps wrote back: “Um, you’ve been had. He doesn’t miss Us in the least, but now you’ve got a 4-footed friend to sleep with for the rest of your life!” Busted.

Oh boy. It’s nice to be back. I missed you guys. What have you been up to while I was away?

So cool that you could stay with Sniglet and not have to go to camp! We’re glad normal service will return, though!

  3. Stuart, Mama wishes I had a Sniglet & Auntie to stay with in the rare event I can’t travel with her. Sounds like you had an extra large time!

What a great time you had! We had a guest over the weekend as well. His name was Buddy. We all sniffed butts and fronts. Only one or two “back off” snarls at the beginning. Playcations are the best! Buddy lives in. Denver, and he is back home now. He is a chihuahua mix and so sweet. The only bad thing was sharing the Peeps with him, but we got over it. Woot!

Your post made mommy laugh so hard she almost fell out of the computer chair!
Callie sleeps in her crate, but I like to sleep all over the house – on the loveseat or the couch, on my doggie bed/blankee in the library, or on mommy and daddy’s bed – I just hop right up and cuddle next to them whenever I want. Some nites I get there before them and rest my head on daddy’s pillow. I fall so sound asleep that daddy has to call my name several times to wake me up and move me so he can get into the bed!

The Scotties liked your outing with Sniglet. We have Dixie over for a staycation several times a year. It is fun to have company. Shelby and Sophie love to have Rocky come to visit. Sidney is not as happy.

So glad to read that you had a wonderful ‘butt sniffing’ holiday at Miss Sniglets place ~~ and whined your way into the ‘big’ bed. Good job dude ! Now back to the hum-drum daily grind of guarding your kingdom…between naps!
We missed you Mr. Stuart ♥

BOL….. you crack me up with your big screen TV and your favorite TV shows.
Sniglet is a real sweetie. I like your technique to get up on da bed. I jump and pound my front paws on the side of da bed until Mom wakes up.

It sounds like you had a wonderful time at Sniglet’s on your vacay. Running around the dining room table and messing up the rugs is always a favorite of mine. Lots of mutual butt sniffing? Who could resist? Sleeping in the big bed with Auntie? Wow! You’re lucky, Stuart. We’re glad you are back, we missed you!

Stu, We sure are happy you’re back! You had some great fun at Sniglet’s! What a good friend! Your choice of programs to watch at Sniglet’s house has mom BOLLING! What fun!
Your bed trick is great! Tessie, my sis, has a similar trick. When I go around the bed trying to block her from jumping up, she gives up and starts to whine so mum can pick her up and put her on the bed! Foiled again–she’s such a baby! Glad to hear you have your peeps so well-trained!
    Kissies,
    Riley-Puppy and Tessie-Girl
