About The Scottie Chronicles

Winston welcomes you to The Scottie Chronicles - a blog that began in 2009 as a voice for Stuart, a more than memorable black, brindle and white Scottish Terrier who captured hearts around the world. Stuart passed suddenly in December 2015 from cardiac hemangiosarcoma, a nasty cancer that took him far too early. If you love Scotties, please follow along. Arroooo!

  9. Lee says:

Lee wanted a little wheaten guy really bad. He had a deformity in that one of his back legs had no bone from the knee to the ankle ~ so a perfectly formed paw was on the knee. Lee was a transporter then. Make a long story short the group she volunteered for would not allow Lee to have him and put him in another temporary foster home. This little guy leaned again Lee’s other scottie Half Pence the whole ride. The little guy made up and adored them the minute he saw them. This is why Lee stop transporting and sometimes sounds very down on some rescue groups.
This little guy was one of the pitties that Kismet talks about. And we know we will probably get negative comments saying anything bad about a rescue group.
    Thanks for being a friend

King weekend in January I went to my forever home. My sister Callie was 8 weeks old when she came to our forever home- her whole litter of pups, from Binghamton NY, were given to scottie rescue when they were a few weeks old. Now she is 2 and I am 4 and it’s hard to remember her being that tiny! We love living on LI. BTW, only spotted two baby squirrels this AM & NO bunnies… we’ll keep looking. Now rest up this weekend!

    • Oh Dear. This is a classic case of canine cuteness disorder. It’s a syndrome caused by Scottie puppies at this age. It can be cured with lots of kisses, arrrOOOooos and overall cuteness administered from a Scottie of any age. Hurry! Run to your Mum immediately and begin resuscitation with barks, poses, head tilts, kisses, nose nudges and general love from YOU!

      Happy to Help, Stu

What is it with woman and puppies? My Peep said those adorable pups are making her feel weak in the knees, which means if she doesn’t sit down she will fall on the floor! I have to agree they are precious little bundles, and thank you for sharing them with us!

We hope you are feeling better and stronger today, Stuart! Are you still taking pain pills? You seem pretty much like your old self again. Just don’t overdo and keep taking naps! You need to build up your strength again to hunt down chippers, squirrels and rabbits in your yard!
