Finally. A Peloton.

So, the peeps got wise and We all watched the Men’s Elite Road Race yesterday.

UCI straggler

They were going to fill the deflated tires on Their bicycles and ride over to Monument Avenue to watch, but then discovered it streaming live on the UCI’s website. Of course, I told Them about this. (They couldn’t find Their way out of a paper bag without my help.)

I finally got to see a PELOTON. I can rest now. It’s done. All’s well.

So. Enough about the bike races. I know you’re bored with my talking about it, too, but I had to get it out of my system. Like many of you, I don’t like things on wheels or boards. They make weird noises and I tend to bite things like that.

My friend here doesn't seem to mind all the commotion.

My friend here doesn’t seem to mind all the commotion.

I, on the other hand, would rather saunter in the alley.

I, on the other hand, would rather saunter in the alley.

What You Learned Today:

  • The city where I live just hosted a BIG international cycle race over the last week.
  • I got to see only a little bit of the commotion.
  • The rest of it, the peeps and I watched on TV.
  • So, if you guessed “Richmond” and the “UCI Worlds” bike races for Saturday’s Where In The World? photo, you’d be correctomundo!
  • If you didn’t, well, then, you’d be wrong.
  • No biggie.

Overheard at my house:

“That guy who won the Men’s Elite is kind of cute,” says the peepstress.

“Wonder how all those guys stay hunched over for hours at a time?” He said.

“Yeah, I wonder that myself. But those tight pantie things are cute,” She said.

‘Pantie things?’ Geez. Can you imagine staying in that one position for hour after hour? All hunched over? I’ll bet they’re sore,” He said.

“Yeah, but they’re kind of cute,” She said.

“I’ll bet they stink, too,” he said.

We enjoyed your stories and the summary of all th eevents. We even learned something about the biped machines for bipeds. You look very handsome on your alley saunter (says Elsa). Mom says she likes tight racing pants as well. Better than baseball pants….she like the football ones. Go figure…..Yikes, what we have to listen to! Stay well.

I’m with your man peep. I bet they do stink a bit after peddling so hard in their cute’ pantie things’.
Now on to the next adventure Mr. Stuart !!
(we went to the dog park today and ran the fence as golf carts passed. Yep, we barked really BIG and scared ’em all away ! )
    Still warm up your way?

    Stuart,
Love your saunter down the alley! Wish we had one here – Mommy keeps us on the leash as soon as we leave our fenced yard… we have a big yard with the best dogwood tree that is dropping delicious red ‘fruit’… and lots of room to run from one side to the other – it is U shaped!

    BTW, how are the puppies??

First of all, I’d like it better if they put baseball cards in a position so the spokes hit it. That was really cool and you could pretend you were on a powered vehicle. Those guys don’t do that? My peep knew that was cool as a kid. What’s with that?? Twap Twap Twap Twap Twap Twap Twap Twap Twap Twap Twap Twap Twap Twap Twap Twap Twap Twap Twap Twap Twap Twap Twap Twap/ Arooooooo. Squaaaaaaawk.

  10. BOL! That conversation your peeps were having sounded awfully familiar, except ours goes something like this:
Mom: Tom Hardy is such a good actor…and cute too
    Dad: Pity he’s only 2 foot 3
Mom: I don’t care how tall he is, he’s cute
Dad: Sure, as long as you don’t mind having to kneel down to see his face
    …and so it goes *sigh*
    BIG licks,

OMD, Stuart, your picture sauntering down an alleyway is just too cute for words! Your coiffure looks great there! Was that taken after your peep used that stripper thingy on you? You look so cute and well-coiffed! The bike races were exciting for peeps, but I goes nuts when a bike or skateboard goes by! I evens goes nuts when skaters go by! Mum’s afraid I’m gonna snap my neck off when I’m on a lead and I takes off running and barking and growling when someone speeds by! Same with motorcycles!
Mum wishes I was serene like da big doggie in da picture dats just laying der!
    Kissies,
Riley-Puppy (Sis, Tessie-Girl is nappin’ right now)

  13. gentlestitches says:

HaHa! Stuart my critters went to dog school and part of the course was being relaxed while an instructor rode around them on a bicycle. Did it work for all doggies. Umm, actually NO! LOL!

Go ahead...Bark Out Loud! ArroOOOO!
