Don’t you love Wednesday? Not only is it hump day, but it’s also time for some StuART!

He must have been thinking of Springtime chipmunks skootering across his backyard here. Or, could it have been a squirrel on the roof?
The intensity with which he focused on things was amazing. And fascinating to watch.

About The Scottie Chronicles
Winston welcomes you to The Scottie Chronicles - a blog that began in 2009 as a voice for Stuart, a more than memorable black, brindle and white Scottish Terrier who captured hearts around the world. Stuart passed suddenly in December 2015 from cardiac hemangiosarcoma, a nasty cancer that took him far too early. If you love Scotties, please follow along. Arroooo!
every day is a good day for StuART!
It sure is! Thanks!
I’m sure you’re right… spring time is the time for squirrels and chipmunks… an bunnies too!
He loved to chase the bun-buns too, you’re right.
Oh love this π sorry for being so awol the Summer here has been so brutal..i needed a watercolor Stu to chill me down π and i know that look ..it;s trouble π loves Fozziemum xxx
I’ve been thinking about you!
Arooo, watchful one. Keep watching over us all.
He is indeed. Ever the watchful Scot.
Yup, Stuart’s focus and patience was perfect! He was rarely defeated on the hunt, which was impressive! π
McDuff & Mom π
I’ll never forget the day he tackled a squirrel. And won.
and now he intently watches us from above!
Yes he does. Trying to keep his peeps in line.
StuArt..now my autocorrect types that instead of Stuart……we must all be in sync. Watercolor Wednesday has to be one of our most favorite days of the week !
Your autocorrect? THAT’S funny! Love that! Thanks for liking WCW!
He was protecting his dillies.
That he was my friend. That he was.
I β€ StuArt! Scotties can be so single-minded, can't they?
And we love that you love StuART! Thank you. Yes. That’s a good word for the focus: single-minded.
Those tree rats will forever be annoying
Snorts,
Lily & Edward
They sure will. And ugly, too. (That was unkind of me…..)
Mom calls it my trance stare. StuArt today is so “him”, yes? He was the best at just about everything wasn’t he π
HA! A “trance” – yes! He was indeed the best at everything. Standing. Staring. Sitting. Watching. Being ornery. Being stubborn. Being Stuart. Love that guy. Thank you for loving him too.
Our Frodo ( brindle scottie) used to patiently and intently walk ever so slowly toward a lizard sunning itself on the deck….often standing with paw raised as he contemplated being undetected. we used to see many lizard with out tail when he patrolled here…. Wish he could have met Stuart…
I can just picture Frodo in that pose. Isn’t it beautiful when they strike a pensive pose like that??? I wish you could have met Stuart, too, but you’re meeting him now through the blog. Thank you for following along.
Staying focused is so important to the task at hand!!! You, Stu, of course, knew this, so you were very successful at ALL of your endeavors!! We always were amazed at how good you were whenever you set out to be vigilant! We remember, Stu! We are so happy you were there to “handle it”!
With LOVE and happy memories of you,
Riley-Puppy and Tessie-Girl
Yes, he could handle just about anything. (Except little children banging his head to try to pet him or running up to him screaming. YIKES!)
He had a depth about him. β€
We just stare off at nothing in particular. That is our job.
