A bright and sunny Wednesday needs a little bright and sunny StuART. Here you go!
That Stuart was a traveling boy. He was quite the ferryboat captain. On his way to Jamestown Settlement from Scotland in Surry County, Virginia. He really liked riding the ferry. It gave him a bird’s eye view of everything.
About The Scottie Chronicles
Winston welcomes you to The Scottie Chronicles - a blog that began in 2009 as a voice for Stuart, a more than memorable black, brindle and white Scottish Terrier who captured hearts around the world. Stuart passed suddenly in December 2015 from cardiac hemangiosarcoma, a nasty cancer that took him far too early. If you love Scotties, please follow along. Arroooo!
I never was on a ferry, my momma is the seasickness on two legs :o) … I bet it was like being the captain of that ship as you watched efurrything from your car :o)
He commanded the high seas! (Of the James River.)
We are sooo jealous! How much fun is that! Stupid was one lucky and seaworthy Scot.
*** Stuart (stupid auto correct, Stuart was N OT stupid) doh!
I hate autocorrect. (Especially when you type words like “public” – that’s fun.)
Today’s Watercolor Wednesday has put a big smile on our faces! 😃 We remember so many of Stuart’s fun trips 🚗 and adventures with his peeps! He was a traveling boy! 🚢 🚤 🚀
McDuff & Mom
So glad you like it! He loved to be on the go.
Ahh, those sweet Stuart ears!
We rode the ferry to Washington Island on Lake Michigan. It was fun.
Mom made us wear life jackets. Geez. We were in the car.
This bird should have been with him. I’m an expert on bird’s eye views.
You could have ridden on his shoulder.
Luv dose scottie ears!
Bet he was a real hit onboard
Lily & Edward
People stared at him! Lovingly, of course.
Stu was always IN-CHARGE all right! It’s fitting that he was a CAPTAIN in addition to all of the other important Leadership roles he had! We like the watercolor as always, but we LOVE dem Gorgeous Scottie-tude a la Stu EARS in da picture!! Dey are Scottie-Awesome!!

Cap’n’ Stu! At your service!
Mom got sea sick on a lake in NY when she was a child. Our chances of going on a boat are zero.
