Calling all Scottie Scholars!

Pay attention class!
Just because you’re enjoying your summer break, doesn’t mean you can be slack ALL the time. And even if it’s wintertime where you live, you can still do your homework.
Here are some assignments until classes resume:
- Chase at least three squirrels a week. (Even if it’s the same squirrel, you can go after it three times.)
- Round up a dozen chipmunks in the next month.
- Let the mail delivery person know who’s boss. Every day.
- Pay attention to your peeps at least once a day. (I know. It’s a stretch, but nobody said homework was easy.)
- Speaking of your peeps, have one take a photo of you tackling one or more of these assignments and send to me at StuartTheScottieAThotmail.com
There might be a chance to earn extra credit.
Now go out there and get barking!
we have no chipmunks here… counts chasing a dozen pigeons too?
No chippers? Sad. Yes. Chasing pigeons counts. I’d love to see that!
i don’t have squirrels, but I killed 6 baby bunnies in April.
Well then, you automatically get some extra credit. Well done!
In my dreams I do stuff like this all the time……..I reality, not so much! LOL
Hugs, Sammy
Dreams count, too, my friend.
The dog ate my homework.
That’s what they all say. But, somehow, I believe you.
The squirrel or chipmunk assignment is impossible for me since I’m never off leash outside and my yard isn’t fenced in. I do chase squirrels on our walks, but the peep would probably break her leg trying to take a picture while running after me. I’ll attempt the paying attention to my peep – which I’m real good at if food is involved!
Boy, this school stuff’s a real challenge! 😞
McDuff & Mom
OK. You get a hall pass.
Oooooo! that sounds FABulous! I will gives it a try….hey, do I HAVE to pay attention to Ma…she is SO boring….
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
I know you can do it. If you try. Real hard. Maybe. Sort of.
squirrels? easy….. we have no chipmunks on LI & mom won’t let us near bunnies [they are her favorite wild animal] sooo, we’ll have to try for paying attention to the peeps!
Ozzy & Callie
No chippers? Sad. Paying attention is one of the hardest tasks. But I know you can do it.
Dear Teacher,
Cans we substitute chasing lizards for chipmunks, please, cuz we don’t has any chipmunks here in So. Calif. We has tons and tons of lizzies, tho’, and Riley loves to chase em!! We has squirrels and we chases dem away from our bird seed feeders all da time, so we cans do da chase squirrels assignment.
We will try extra hard to do what da Peeps tell us to do, but you are absolutely right…it definitely will be a stretch! We usually don’t has to do dat until around da time mum threatens us to tell Santy-Paws dat she’s gonna tell him if we don’t do what she sez!
Da last assignment might be tricky since Mum is kinda technically-gizmo-challenged, so it is difficult to get her to ask Dad how to post a picture on da internet, and she is kinda scared to ask him how to do it, cuz Dad has showed her how to do it tons of times, and she doesn’t do it enough times to remember how to do it, so she forgets, and she’s embarrassed about being such a poor rememberer, and she’s sure he’ll blow his top and say: “But I’ve shown you so many times already!”
So dat last one might be da real toughie assignment! We will get on her to doo eet!
We hope you are having cool days, cuz our HOT weather has started and da only ones loving it is da Lizzies cuz mum sez dey is cold-blooded (yikes!).
We love you, Dear Teacher, even tho you are tough on us!
Riley-Puppy and Tessie-Girl
Riley and Tessie, yes. Lizards count. You can write a book report about them. That’ll count for a picture. We’re all waiting for a fantastic story about your adventures with the Lizards! Don’t tempt Santy-Paws to miss your house this year. We wouldn’t want that.
The mailman made the mistake of giving Shelby and Sidney cookies. They now bark at every mail truck that they see. Sophie is walked separately. She missed out on the fun. They have completed the squirrel assignment, but we have never seen chipmunks. Can we substitute ducks?
Sophie is clueless and never listens. I don’t think that she knows her name. The older two listen when it is to their benefit. The photo should be easy.
Oh boy. Bad mailman. Too bad. Yes. Ducks are an acceptable substitute. We’ll all look forward to seeing your adventures!
My critters say they can manage the postie assignment and are happy to pretend to be listening to me. ❤
Can’t wait to see them pretending to pay attention and listen! This’ll be good.
This will be fun! 😀
Does chasing our new sister, Ruby, count? She is a pain, too much energy. Mom keeps telling me n Andy to “be nice”, but it’s getting harder. We will try and pay attention to the Peeps.
Yes. Sibling chasing is an acceptable substitute. You guys are creative! Well done.
