I’ve heard this a thousand times. But only recently has my grieving heart been open enough to know it’s true.
Stuart is, and always will be, with us.
He finds subtle ways to let us know he’s there.
Today, I noticed this:
Lone pastel pink impatiens popping up through the bricks where none has ever appeared before. Right behind the Scottie statue. On the front steps where Stuart loved to hang out and watch the world go by.
I just love it. There’s no other reason for this volunteer plant to appear now. At this time. Other than he placed it there. (I can visualize him standing, staring with unwavering Scottie attention, commanding that plant to GROW! Grrrr! Or else!)
Thank you for helping me see what I’ve been missing all these months.
And thanks to you, Stu, for the wonder you’re still giving us.

He is a wonder. And continues to be doesn’t he? BoBo is too. After all, he “sent” Stuart to us.
I’ve always known Scotties are brilliant. Just like you two!
That is SOOOOO special! Stu really is with you, of course! And it is because you were so close that you are able to see and sense all of these tokens of love Stu leaves for you in all of the places he frequented, and still does…always watching out for you, letting you feel his love and caring, telling you that though his precious earthbound body had to leave, does not mean that the real Stu left you–he is STILL there, always with you!
Very loving of him to let you know he is there for you! That’s our Stu—ever caring and loyal! What a beautiful Love Story!

Tory had a special place in the Thanksgiving Room ( it is really the dining room that was only used on Thanksgiving when my husband was alive) and since Tory died, all of the other Scotties vie to rest in this place. He has been gone for more than 10 years and the spot is hardly ever empty.
That’s amazing.
Yes, that could only be there, in that location, because of sweet Stuart. He will ALWAYS be there in ways that will mystify you.

How very sweet of Stuart to bring you a smile with the flower – of course he KNEW you’d know it was from him and that it was his way of reminding you that he will forever occupy a corner of your heart and soul. What a really touching reminder from him too – a pink flower of love.

What lauramarec expressed so beautifully (as always). While I was late in finding your blog before Stuart received his ticket to the Bridge, I understand his continued presence, as Noah sends Skyler and me signs as well, and I still cry for him, even though Skyler is a most loving and beloved companion. Right around Thanksgiving, he steps up the communication. The 4th anniversary of my husband’s death is this Sunday. The Spirits are making themselves known. Our house is filled with ghosts right now.
I hope they’re warm and friendly ghosts. Of course they are! I’ll think of you this Sunday. And always.
