Stuart received a card in the mail yesterday. A quick look at the back of the envelope made me smile. I immediately knew who it was from.
Fozziemum wanted me and the Dad Peep to know she was there for us. And hoped her native eastern rosella would brighten our day. It certainly did. And does. Her beautiful card – created by her hand with her stunning photography – sits on my desk. And it’ll stay there alongside photos of Angel Stuart, one of which is in a personalized “Forever Loved” frame sent from another loving blog friend.
You can buy Fozziemum’s cards, but you can’t buy friendship. For friendship like hers is priceless. It’s not for sale. It’s earned.
How honored I feel to enjoy such friendships. Like the one I share with you, readers of The Scottie Chronicles. Thank you for that.
And thank you for bearing with me as The Scottie Chronicles evolves in the wake of Stuart’s passing.
Things are getting brighter and a bit easier these days. As you may remember, the Dad Peep and I are at the point of opening our hearts and home to another Scottie. It’ll happen when it’s supposed to happen. Just as BoBo “sent” Stuart to us, Stuart will make it known when it’s time.
Until then, The Scottie Chronicles may take on another look or feel, but it will always, always focus on Scotties, dogs, friendships and fun. Cats, birds, pigs, gerbils, guinea pigs and other fish and fowl are welcome to play along, too!
PS Thank you Fozziemum! We’re here for you, too, my dear friend.
I think that it is my cousin Phil.
I think you’re right! SquawwwK!
Ironically Fozzidads name is Phil..Kismet maybe 😉 😀
THAT is unbelievable!
I know 😉 lol!
Lily & Edward
Just like you sweet pals.
Exquisite! The photography, and the friendships. ❤️
You’re so right! Thank you for your friendship!
Got to get a laugh out of Kismet’s comment.
Her photography is beautiful.
Sweet William The Scot
I love to laugh at all of Kismet’s comments!
Friends are the best.
Yes they are! And that includes you.
Friendships feed our souls, knowing love fills our hearts.
Stuart and The Scottie Chronicles provides both for all of us.

Don’t make me cry…..
What a thoughtful card and sentiment. The photograph is beautiful! Kona and I are looking forward to what comes to fruition with Stuart’s blog and the possibility of a new addition. I know when I started opening my mind to getting another dog, Kona appeared within a few months. All in good time, right? it will happen when it happens. xo Lori and Kona
Thanks so much Lori. Give Kona a pat will you?
Will do 🙂
So glad your card arrived my sweet…we just wanted you to know we are here…we all miss our furry family and sometimes the hurt is just too hard to bear…sending our hugs and love and thankyou for your lovely words..pee ess Kismet kills me..funny hubbies name is Phil 😂 xx
Your love is so appreciated. Thank you! And I hope you know that we think of you often. Yours is a dreadful loss and we’re in this together, right?
We are indeed in this together my sweet …nice company in not so nice times …xxx
A beautiful card from a genuinely wonderful and caring friend! I think we all look forward to seeing where The Scottie Chronicles takes us – especially if/when we get to follow the adventures of another Scottie!
P.S. I think I can see the resemblance between Kismet and his cousin Phil . . .
Thank you for that. I’m quite sure, at some point, a Scottie will come into our home and make his voice heard through the Chronicles to your ears! PS Kismet makes me laugh so much.
There are so many talented people. The card is beautiful and you deserve it.
You’re a kind friend. Thank you.
I haven’t been following your blog for very long so I didn’t realize you had a dog pass away not so long ago. I am very sorry to hear that. I am such an emotional wreck when it comes to animals. I love them more than words can say. So, again I get it, and I am so sorry for your loss.
Thank you so much. The blog was created through Stuart’s voice; now it’s my own. It’s nice to know you’re there with me. Thank you so much for writing.
Of course. I have been enjoying your posts. I am a huge animal lover and advocate. Animals bring such joy to our lives. It is so sad that their little lives are so short on this earth though.
aaww – tears here – sometimes it only takes a card to say ‘thinking of you’ to touch you all the way down to your hooves. Love you my friends. XOXO – Bacon
That is just lovely, and funny . ❤
