Friends at any time of year are wonderful to have around. Whether they live near you or not. Friends at holidays make the time more special and friends’ support during tough times provide unimaginable comfort.
While the Dad Peep and I were away over Christmas a card arrived. When we retrieved the mail from our neighbor, this is what was inside:
A friend from across the pond had been thinking of us and wanted to share gifts and emotional support during this especially tough time of year. These gifts mean more than she could ever know and to her we send our heartfelt thanks. (Looking at these photos of two special Scots makes me SMILE SO BIG! How can you not smile with images of these two???) Thank you very, very much.
Edgar’s Mum sent a wonderful card for which we’re so grateful. We wish her lots of love in her new marriage!
Bacon and all at the Hotel Thompson sent a card that we hold dear. Snorts to you guys!
Ozzie, Callie, Mac and their peeps sent a card that’s on prominent display in my office. For the wisdom you share, thank you.
Nessa the Noodledog had her peep send us a special card. Keep those noodles flowing!
Mandy, Truman and Callie had their loving peeps send us a beautiful card of the three of them. Thank you for adding and reading Stuart’s name at the Bridge Ceremony.
And electronic greetings from Kismet’s house made us smile. Stay outta trouble.
We also received love from Angel Easy’s crib. Here’s to you, Easy my friend. You now have your wings and are flying free. A candle is lit for you in our hearts. It will glow forever.
There’s always a danger when trying to list wonderful acts of kindness by name….forgetting someone. (I hope I didn’t forget you! Smack me publicly in the comments if I did. Oh my…)
Thanks to you all, dear friends, who have communicated with us whether through comments here on The Scottie Chronicles, through snail mail, email or in your loving thoughts.
How special you are to us.
Blogsville friends are just the bestest
Loves and licky kisses
