Well, maybe not that quickly. After all, we haven’t been puppy peeps for nearly 11 years. Or thereabouts. It’s funny how many things we’ve forgotten over the years. And the habits we’ve broken.
“Got the leash?”
“Yep.”
“How about the poop bags?”
“Darn it. No. Be back in a minute. Y’all go on ahead.”
Or sometimes, the conversation goes like this:
“Got the poop bags?”
“Darn it. No.”
“Leash?”
“I thought you had it.”
“Where’s Winston?”
Gee whiz.
And let’s not forget what happens when one leaves one’s flip flops out in plain view. Or how closely puppies follow along and somehow you get tripped up or accidentally kick them in the face. Thankfully, they bounce back.
Day Three. And All’s Well. But the flip flops may not survive.
Flippy flops…woohoo..well done Winston, I STILL luffs a good chew of Mum’s flippy flops!
i wonder how long it’ll be before your peeps remember that a quiet puppy usually means said puppy is up to mischiefs somewhere, hehe!
Have FUNS sweet fella
Loves and licky kisses

You are so right! I can relate to everything you’ve said. It’s even longer for me since I had a pup, but it’s all coming back to me, like walking in barefoot is inviting trouble, and shoelaces on sneakers are so much fun to chew! No matter what, having another Scottie to love and enjoy as he grows while he follows me around the house makes it all so worthwhile!
I’m totally with you… we forgot how it was nearly 8 years ago…. and we sadly also forgot how sharp this puppy teeth can be ;O)
Soon it be like riding a bicycle….
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
BOL. When I was a wee little laddie, I chewed on da strap of Auntie D’s new pink flip flops. She put some painters tape on da strap and continued to wear dem (butt not in public). hehehe
Wags,
Ranger

Give him a great gift-a day at Imelda Marcos’s house.
Winston reminds me of my Nick who is now a year old. Nick ate a couple of pairs of flops in his baby days. Looks like Winston is a flip flop lover too!!! So happy for you!
Catalogs left on the stairs……socks stuffed in shoes…..doors left open to bathrooms where the wonderful, fun-to-play-with toilet paper lives…..Jennie ate the cover of a Road Atlas when she was a puppy. Guess she’s ready to travel!
Winston, buddy – let me introduce myself – I’m Edgar, a 10 year old Scottie from Nebraska. I live with mum and the fella (and they are expecting a human puppy!) Pleased to meet you! You might not know it yet, but you just struck the jackpot!
Edgar and his mum
Flip flops;3 (count ’em,3) TV remotes; whole shoes; socks; a hole in the baby gate to keep her in the kitchen (not); and a host of other things. Ruby now has a toy box full of appropriate chewies – including water bottles. Winston – you have won the lottery with these Peeps. You will live an excellent life!
Winston is developing his taste for fine footwear early on. Puppies are SOO cute.
Everything is fair game for puppies. GOOD LUCK!
Oh I love to have a good chew of mum’s flip flops!! What great adventures you have though Winston – I can’t wait to follow along!
Lots of licks, your new friend Morrie!
Hi! Winston aka Zeke’s mom here. Love your name choice! I hope he’s surpassing your expectations since you had a rough time on your journey to find him. Best wishes to the three of you!
What a cutie that Winston is! Plus, he knows that flip flop season is almost over, which is why he chose those to “sample”.
Oh yah..it isnt hard to get out of the hang!! You’ll be back to it soon enough!!
