To the average person, this is a pretty insignificant photo. But it’s not. This is our Winston in the dining room just about dinner time. On a typical evening, around this time, he’s off somewhere. In the den. Behind a sofa. Anywhere but near us.
But tonight, here he is with us.
Oh my! For this, we’re very thankful.

About The Scottie Chronicles
Winston welcomes you to The Scottie Chronicles - a blog that began in 2009 as a voice for Stuart, a more than memorable black, brindle and white Scottish Terrier who captured hearts around the world. Stuart passed suddenly in December 2015 from cardiac hemangiosarcoma, a nasty cancer that took him far too early. If you love Scotties, please follow along. Arroooo!
He loves his Peeps more and more and more. Plus he’s figured out there is food in the area at dinner time…..he’s nobody’s fool.
That is wonderful! I think dogs, like people, have their own way of doing things, their own reasons for doing them and when they’re about to make a change, like tonight, he just felt ready to do it now, which seemed to be the right time for him. Small steps…one at a time. It’s all good!
Winston must be an independent fella. If like our Lucy. He will in time feel he needs to be in view of you at all times. ♥ Quite a handsome young scotty I must say !
Scotties don’t miss too many dinners.
I think all this moving around has taken it’s toll on Winston = and finally he’s realized what’s up and this place is it!
Hmmmm . . . we’ve never, ever had one that wasn’t right there with us at dinner (or any other time when we’re in the kitchen or sitting at the table), and I’m not even a good cook. So if staying away hasn’t been some sort of comment on your cooking skills, then I fully agree that this is very significant!
to be together is the best… we are eggs-tremely together while dinner time but not with the staff … more with the table and the food on it ;O)
Good for all of you – Enjoy – Humphrey
Winston, we just love your are hanging out with your peeps in the dining room. Maybe you smelled something good that they are serving at dinner and maybe you want a little piece of it. Thanks for the share. Have a great day.
