Is there ever too much?

Can there ever be too much “Scottie stuff?” Ever? Really? This is what you see when you pass by my office.

About The Scottie Chronicles

Winston welcomes you to The Scottie Chronicles - a blog that began in 2009 as a voice for Stuart, a more than memorable black, brindle and white Scottish Terrier who captured hearts around the world. Stuart passed suddenly in December 2015 from cardiac hemangiosarcoma, a nasty cancer that took him far too early. If you love Scotties, please follow along. Arroooo!

Never Enough! Fills every wall, mantle, room in our house! Dad has said ‘no more’ but somehow she keeps finding stuff! Even have some that look like me! Don’t worry – there will always be space for us Winston – they like us the best! Humphrey & Cherry

Never too much; I am of the ‘more is better’ way of thinking! My office is the official Scottie Room of the house. There are decorative Scottie plates, pictures, bookends, statues, vintage ads of Black & White Scotch, Gainsburger, Friskies Dog Food, and Champion Spark Plugs, a beautiful needlepoint all framed and a wonderful copy of Life Magazine from Feb. 10th, 1958 with a Scottie sitting on Ralph Belamy’s lap for his role in Sunrise at Campobello when he played F.D.R.
Of course, when I am in here at the computer, Finley will be laying at my feet under my desk!

  7. Kismet says:

Yes, you can have too much Scottie stuff. That happens in this house when it crowds out the Westie and parrot stuff.

  8. Elizabeth Davis says:

I know the feeling……I never had enough scottie stuff…..no place to sit at my house because of scottie stuff overload…even had sign on door saying, only dogs allowed in this house…..my family never wanted to visit me…..no room for them…..only dogs came to visit……I had so much fun in those days…but then I got old and sick and had to stop my insanity and think about donating the stuff to help needy dogs….^.^…I miss my stuff…….in fact I took ill again the day S.Calif scottie club picked up my vintage books and stuff…..oh well, I wasnt thinking I would get sick cause I was sooo busy collecting…renee ^.^

Our house is filled with Scottie and Westie stuff (and the real things, too). The “man of the house” tends to refer to it as “crap” . . . until he sees something he likes and buys. Then it’s OK.

    There’s never enough!!!!!

  11. never ever… scottie stuff is essential for every house ;O)

  12. I could do with a visit, occasionally.
