Ponder This…

Stuart? Are you out there?

Of course, Winston. I’m always here.

Sorry it’s been a while since we talked.

No need to apologize my young friend. I’ve got all the time in the world for you and I don’t mind waiting.

Well, I have a question.

I know you do. What’s on your mind? By the way, you’re doing pretty well all by yourself these days.

Really? That makes me happy.

Yep, you’re a true little Scottie boy with a BIG brain and a BIG personality.

Well, maybe you can answer this. Maybe my brain isn’t all that big.

Don’t worry, you’re not going to get the coronavirus-19.

Oh, I wasn’t worried about that. But that has something to do with it. When you were taken away from the peeps. You know, when that happened, they started raising money for some research to help get rid of that hemangiosarcoma that you had.

And they did a good job I think. But it’s been a while since they raised any money for the research and I was wondering, do you think it’s OK to do that again? The dad peep has created a new T-Shirt design to sell. I’m wondering if it’s a bad time to ask people for money when they don’ have jobs or when they’re sick and scared. Well, really, I don’t know what I mean. It’s all so confusing.

You’re very wise little Winston.

Really. I and the peeps and you will always be grateful for the generosity of people who want to see an end to hemangiosarcoma. Why don’t we ask your blog friends?

Why didn’t I think of that?

About The Scottie Chronicles

Winston welcomes you to The Scottie Chronicles - a blog that began in 2009 as a voice for Stuart, a more than memorable black, brindle and white Scottish Terrier who captured hearts around the world. Stuart passed suddenly in December 2015 from cardiac hemangiosarcoma, a nasty cancer that took him far too early. If you love Scotties, please follow along. Arroooo!

I think the time is entirely appropriate and right! Those who can will give, some may have to cut back a little, but still give. Those who cannot do either, that is perfectly understandable, it is a sign of the times but, things won’t always be like this. I look forward to a new T-shirt, making a donation and feeling that I am doing something worthwhile, important and badly needed.

Our scotties are the dearest things ever – so little Winston, anything we can do to help stop this sickness the better! At least research has already started on hemangiosarcoma… wouldn’t it be great if they found a cure for that and coronavirus-19??
Aroo little man. xxoo Ozzy & Callie’s mom

  4. I’d say maybe wait until da summer. It just seems like so many people are panicing and hectic now – ya might get a better response later when things have calmed down (hopefully) and people aren’t so scared. ❤

  5. Kismet says:

Yes, but as long as everyone forgets the bird flu.

  6. Humphrey says:

Go for it Winston – a new T-shirt for a good cause is always uplifting – if everyone can’t give a whole lot they probably can give some. Getting a good handle on the disease that took you away will be a great thing for all us Scotties! – Humphrey

I’ll never forget when our vet was told about Stu and what he had. The vet just lowered his face and shook his head. He didn’t have to say a thing-we knew.

Go ahead...Bark Out Loud! ArroOOOO!
