Winston welcomes you to The Scottie Chronicles - a blog that began in 2009 as a voice for Stuart, a more than memorable black, brindle and white Scottish Terrier who captured hearts around the world. Stuart passed suddenly in December 2015 from cardiac hemangiosarcoma, a nasty cancer that took him far too early. If you love Scotties, please follow along. Arroooo!

    One of my Scotties got hemagiocarcoma. He suddenly got a tumor between his front teeth. It happened withing 3 days. He had surgery to remove it but it came right back. Then more aggressive surgery where they removed his front teeth, palate and part of his front jaw bone and installed a metal bar to replace it. But funny as he looks when he smiles, that was 4 years ago and he is still cancer free. Every time he smiles at me I pray my gratutude that he is one of the rare cases that survived. For today anyway. We call it his “Grill”
